Apply on our website ( https://www.healingheartsrescue.org/adopt )  to  set up a private meeting or check below for my adoption event schedule. Age: Approximately 10 years old Weight: 10 lbs Dog friendly: Yes Cat friendly: TBD more than likely yes Kid friendly: Yes. Older/considerate kids would be best Potty trained: Yes Crate trained: Does well being left loose in the house alone The most adorable chocolate chihuahua reporting for duty! They call me Pumba. The past year has not been good to me. I was put in an animal control shelter in Texas. I was found very Malnourished and Flea infested. I did have a microchip; my owners were notified but never came to claim me. That's okay, I am looking for a better beautiful future. I am food obsessive and would have to be fed separate if other pets are in the home. Foster mom thinks this is because of my never knowing where my next food source would come from. So, I will resource guard all my food and treats from other dogs. I'm ok with humans around my food/treats. I'm fine with 2 small dogs and 1 large dog in my foster home. But I sure would like more single attention of my own. I snuggle under the blankets for sleep time. I will go in a open crate with blankets also. I do not however like the door to be shut on me. I will bark continuously. I really don't need to be locked in. I am a good boy. I hate this cold Minnesota weather, so I do my business right away when I go out. I have also used the potty pad now and then, so I don't have to venture out. I do very well on a leash and love a good walk. I have a nice large fenced in yard here. I probably should have a single dwelling as I can be vocal if crated and left alone. I do alert if someone is at the door. Hi, Pumba 's foster mom here. Please fill out an application if Pumba has caught your eye. I would be very happy to answer any questions you may have about him. He would make a wonderful companion for most anyone. But I think he would love his very own person or two with all their attention devoted to him. Thank you for reading his profile! If you’d like to arrange a private meeting or begin the adoption process, please fill out an adoption application by visiting    https://www.healingheartsrescue.org/adopt   **Note on breed and age determination:  Breed and age are often determined on appearance, our own knowledge, veterinarian advice, and/or information from the sending shelters or previous owners.  Most of our adoptable dogs were previously stray dogs with little history, we can’t be 100% sure of a dog’s breed mix, and unless there is a specific date of birth listed, we can’t be 100% sure of a dog’s age. Additionally, our assessments of a dog's interactions with other dogs, cats, or children are based on OUR experiences. Your experience may differ.   ADOPTION FEE INCLUDES: Wellness check Spay/neuter (puppies adopted with required spay/neuter certificate) Age appropriate vaccines - rabies as required by law and distemper combo or proof of positive titer test Heartworm test if over 7 months of age Fecal test and/or deworming for parasites Microchip &#226&#128&#139 ~ Healing Hearts rescue will also provide dental procedures, bloodwork, surgeries, and/or any other additional vet work as needed while dogs are in our care. &#226&#128&#139~ Adoption fees are non-negotiable and fees are listed on the dog's profile   ~ Adoption fees can be paid the following ways with the required sales tax added: PayPal Credit Card Cash WANT TO HELP SAVE MORE DOGS?   Healing Hearts Rescue is a nonprofit, foster-based rescue  located in the Twin Cities area of Minnesota  that  is 100% funded through adoption fees and donations .  We are excited for you to join us on this mission to save the lives of dogs in need.   We believe every dog deserves to be loved as true members of a family and are committed to fulfilling that dream one dog at a time! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. //   Find our applications at www.midwestanimalrescue.orgAdoption Fee $250 plus taxHi my name is Bruzar and I’m 12 years old. I’m still full of life and love to go outside and go for walks. I love being with my foster mom and dad cuddling and getting pets. I sleep on the bed with them. I don’t like to be kenneled. I’m house trained and can be trusted to be left alone. I get along with other dogs. I made friends with my foster’s resident dog that is also a senior. I’m okay with cats as long as they don’t get too close to me. I’m looking for a new family since mine passed away. My foster family is taking really good care of me until I find my forever home.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.  or    *The pet you are viewing is a rescued pet which is most often from an animal control facility and does not come with a pedigree. The breed(s) listed are our best guess and are in no way guaranteed. Sometimes the pets appear to be a particular breed(s) in the pictures we receive from our rescue partners and when they arrive we are surprised to see an entirely different breed(s) in person!  If you choose to DNA test your adopted pet, test results may vary from company to company and our breed guess may not be reflected in those results as it is just that, our best guess. It is with deep longing that we wish there was a breed called 'cute' as we believe all of our dogs would fall under this new breed classification! Completion of an Adoption Application via our website www.midwestanimalrescue.org is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is the first step in our adoption process.  *Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.  Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks. Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance.   //

She is fairly petite, weighs 28 lbs and likely full grown. She and her sibling were dumped off at a rural Oklahoma shelter. We are not sure of her past but we think someone wasn’t very nice to her at some point as she will still hunker down sometimes like she thinks she is in trouble. She seems to enjoy playing with both male and female dogs.
