Jake is a 5 year old German shepherd dog we adopted from a breeder back in May. Unfortunately we were not informed that what were described as quirks are in fact more severe. He's in general a skittish dog and with fireworks and storms, we have had to medicate him. He is a sweetheart though and when he bonds, he BONDS. He will follow you around your house and loves his walks. He needs to be taught how to play as he has no idea. The original owners kept him as a kennel dog. He's highly intelligent and loving and will pick up training quickly, but there also be a smattering of separation anxiety. He just needs more than our family can give him. He seems fine with our cat, if excitable, and the few times we walked by dogs on our walk, he seemed fine.

Unfortunately, after my puppies were old enough to get adopted, I developed a pretty severe case of mastitis, pneumonia, and esophageal strictures. Through all of that I never gave up! Now, I'm doing so much better and am ready to finally be adopted myself. I love people and am affectionate, sweet, and goofy. One of my doctors fostered me throughout my health journey and learned a lot about me. I love chasing balls, going on walks, and most of all getting snuggles.
