She is by personality 100% shepherd, just pocket sized for your love and enjoyment. Closeness is very important to Rock Steady - she wants to be with you, on you, as close as she can when it’s time to relax. She sits on my feet when I’m in the kitchen and on my lap if I am sitting. She’s a lover. A home that allows her to be close is a must. Rock Steady is also very intelligent. She knows basic commands: sit, down, come, kennel and is very obedient. If we need her in the kennel all we say is “kennel” and in she goes. We also do trust her to free range the house as she has shown to be house trained and nondestructive. She has a favorite squeaky toy, will frolic with a ball but doesn’t do fetch. She is good on a leash, but bunnies can get her excited. She enjoys my dogs and allows my bossy corgi to remain the alpha. Rock Steady, as a Sheppard, does have the capability to do the “deep” intimidating bark. There is no aggression, and her alarm bark is done rarely with people at the front door. She otherwise is quiet and not a “barker”   â€‹ To view additional dogs available for adoption, please see our website: www.4luvofdog.org April 14, 2026, 10:19 pm

Story
Shadow is a little over 1! He is a super energetic dog and loves to play! He is super smart and catches on to things quite quickly. He has completed a 3 week board and train and has done many one on one training sessions as well. He goes to a doggy daycare once a week and does super well with other dogs there! My hope is to find him a home where is not going to be in a kennel majority of the day and has plenty of time to stimulate him and play! I would love it if he had a yard to run! I have had him since he was a little puppy and am his only owner! He is such a softie and a great companion! He is a puller when it comes to walking on a leash but I have been working really hard with him on that and he is improving! He is a sucker for treats and popcorn! He is an avid toy destroyer if it has a squeaker and stuffing therefore he has lotsssss of harder chew toys!

The cost is around $90 a month depending on the pharmacy.   Pippi is ready for her second chance   Foster Home Feedback ** No Other Pets, No Children,  Fenced-in yard required. 8/20/25 Foster Feedback: Pippi has settled in great. She enjoys soaking up the sun on the deck. Her giant frog is her favorite toy.  Pippi  likes to go for walks but she is a strong puller. She is pretty lazy otherwise, spending her days laying around and looking out the window. She loves going on car rides. Pippi is up to the challenge of playing with her puzzle toy and especially likes when she solves the puzzle and finds the hidden treats.. She is so smart and such a sweet dog. She just doesn’t like other dogs and tends to be protective of her person. Pippi would make a great companion for someone with no other pets or young kids.    12/9/24 Building Volunteer Feedback: Princess Pippi is still looking for her kingdom to reign over, have you got some subjects in your realm for this regal lady? She is gentle and kind and large but slow and confident. Pippi loves scratches and snuggles and playing ball. This ol gal needs a calm home she can monitor and ensure the safety of its residents.    9/12/24 Building Volunteer Feedback: Pippi is such an easy dog at the shelter, and I imagine that translates to being an easy to care for dog in her home. Pippi is such a nice gentle dog, she walks like an angel, is potty trained, and generally doesn't cause a ruckus in her kennel. Being calm in the shelter environment isn't always the easiest and Pippi has done very well keeping her cool. It is heartbreaking to see her in the shelter environment for so long but at least she is doing well. Pippi does love a game of fetch and a good walk but she also has no issue taking princess naps throughout the day.  While Pippi isn't a good candidate to live with other dogs (or pets) since she will resource guard her favorite person from other animals, she can be friendly with dogs in a daycare environment. Her out of home dog socialization is good, which is good for encounters expected or otherwise. As we have needed shelter space Pippi goes to Fetchers where she gets socializing via doggy daycare and has a very fun time doing so. Pippi would be a great companion looking for her spot to lounge. She hopes it is with you    7/19/2024 Foster Feedback: Pippi is the sweetest angel girl there is! She seemed very comfortable with me right away . Pippi loves to play ball, looking out the window, going for walks and chewing on her chew toy! Pippi is 100% potty trained and never had an accident while in my home. I did not put her in a kennel ever because she didn't seem interested in anything she wasn’t supposed to have; she didn't try to get into the garage or onto the counter! She is the sweetest girl and loves to give kisses, getting head rubs, scratches right above her tail and sleeping next to you! She deserves the best home!   5/11/2024 Foster Feedback:  Pippi has settled in quite well and is looking to be the Queen in someone's house. Her favorite things include running around the yard chasing her jolly ball, chewing on bones, sleeping next to her favorite people, playing tug of war, and carrying around her stuffed toys. She also loves going on walks around the neighborhood and the park.  Pippi knows the following commands: Sit, Stay, Lay down, Shake, High five, Leave it, Come, and Kennel. She is kennel trained, has fantastic leash manners, and is potty trained. Pippi will let you know when she needs to go outside by standing next to the door until you let her out.  At the moment, she wants to be the queen of the castle, so she will bark at dogs or strangers walking past the house. She will also bark at dogs walking too close to her. We have been working on this with her. Pippi would make a lovely addition to any family looking for a laid back, but fun loving "bear" in their house!   4/12/2019 Volunteer Feedback: Pippi is a very happy pup! She’s always smiling and investigating new places with her sniffer. She loves squeaky toys and belly scratches. Her back foot kicks when you find the right spot! Pippi does really well on walks and would love a family that would enjoy her cuddles and kisses.  To view additional dogs available for adoption, please see our website: www.4luvofdog.org April 14, 2026, 10:19 pm
