Rudy does bark a little but calms down.  She is a large puppy so she can be clumsy and under foot.  Rudy loves to follow her people around.  Otherwise she can be found just lounging on a comfy spot or chewing toys.  Rudy has tried to chew things she shouldn’t and listens very well to leave it.  Overall Rudy has been a great house guest.  12/16/2025 Foster Feedback: Rudy (pretty girl) arrived in my house today.  She is a tall drink of water.  When I first met her at the facility she was calm and gave me instant kisses, I knew I needed to bring Rudy home.  She is very curious about the house sniffing everything.  Rudy seemed timid at the stairs but after introduction to my dog she followed him up and down.  She met my submissive boxer mix and my blind old chihuahua and did really well.  Rudy sat in the kennel calmly when I brought her home and is now relaxing comfy on a dog bed.   No accidents yet but everything is still new.  More to come as I learn everything about Rudy.To view additional dogs available for adoption, please see our website: www.4luvofdog.org December 21, 2025, 2:28 pm

He slept in his kennel all night with no fuss the first night and has continued to do so. He is so smart! He knows sit and lay down. I taught him “kennel”, and we are working on down as he was very curious about our kitchen counters at first (though has not been a problem after some redirection). I was told he never had an accident at the shelter and the same has been true in our home. He is potty trained like a pro! I took him in public to two busy cafes, and he did tests for the baristas, let strangers pet him happily, and was not nervous around little kids. His demeanor blew me away. We also met up with some dog friends. Keekai was nervous as first but then had so much fun playing with both dogs.  Be warned: Keekai is a little mouthy when showing affection or getting too playful but I’m working on that with him. I’ve taken him on walks/runs and he can go for 5 miles and still have energy for more. As soon as you get home, he will be ready for a nap though.  This is a dog that wants structure, jobs, and order. He will thrive with an active person who has a good routine. You will have so much fun exploring together!  11/5/25 Volunteer Feedback: I took Keekai out for a kennel break yesterday and he did so well. I was told  that he was nervous of men, but he met both my dad and brother-in-law and did fantastic! No hesitation saying hi! Keekai also did well with my dog. My dog is more submissive, and they had no issues. They played very well together. He really was a joy and does well walking on a leash. He wants to chase the squirrels, but with a two handled leash he was super easy to control. Keekai is a very happy guy and enjoys playing with toys and snuggling with his humans! Click here to watch a video of Keekai. To view additional dogs available for adoption, please see our website: www.4luvofdog.org December 21, 2025, 2:28 pm

Like most puppies, she’s full of energy and playfulness—romping around, chasing toys, and bouncing through life with puppy joy. What makes St. Helen special is her softer, sweet-natured side. After she’s had her fill of playtime, she loves nothing more than to snuggle up close for belly rubs and kisses. She’s the kind of puppy who will win your heart with her gentle charm and those irresistible puppy eyes. St. Helen is still learning all about the big world, so she’ll need a family who’s ready to guide her through training, provide lots of play, and give her the love she deserves. With patience and care, she’s sure to grow into a devoted, loving companion. If you’ve been searching for a puppy who’s equal parts playful and snuggly, St. Helen is ready to be your little sidekick! To view additional dogs available for adoption, please see our website: www.4luvofdog.org December 21, 2025, 2:28 pm

Memaw was a great house guest while here. She was super friendly with my husband and kids (9&13) and respected the boundary of the baby gate (that was loosely set against the stairs to avoid her going upstairs where my skittish 19yo cat is). She appears house broken and enjoyed her time hanging out with our family, car rides, treats, meeting people and playing outside.  Memaw had no issues going up and down the stairs of the bi-level home after recovering from her paw injury earlier this year. She also loved running around our yard, chasing tennis balls and playing tug. She is the perfect combo of play and chill.  Memaw was such a sweet wonderful girl and she would make a great companion for anyone who welcomes her to their home.  10/24/25 Foster Feedback:Memaw is coming out of her shell and is a silly, full of life lady. She just loves being around people and is good when seeing other dogs. She loves to play with her toys, she will grab them and bring them to you, asking to play! She also has no problem informing you she wants attention!  Memaw is very good on the leash, and loves to be outside to sniff around! She is a sweet and silly girl, wanting all the love! 7/12/25 Volunteer Feedback: Memaw embodies sweetness and serenity. With her calm presence, she naturally brings a sense of ease to any environment. Whether the world outside is noisy and unpredictable or the household is bustling with activity, Memaw remains composed and unfazed. She’s the perfect companion for quiet evenings and cozy weekends, always there to offer warmth and comfort. She is a steadfast couch buddy and has a soothing presence. Memaw is a delight to be around!  &#226&#128&#139 To view additional dogs available for adoption, please see our website: www.4luvofdog.org December 21, 2025, 2:28 pm
