Niro, or Bear as he is called, is a wonderful boy but needs someone who knows and understands the breed, has high energy, very committed to HIS owner. He is about 4-5 yrs old. 58lbs at the time of neuter but thin. He bonds totally to his person and wants to be with them 24/7. SO he needs to be in a home with one female, no men. He acts as though he has been severely abused and has no time for men. I think someone got him but had no idea how to train him. Discipline at the wrong time becomes abuse. He is a scary barker at strangers, so NO neighbors, visitors, or children. He needs someone firm enough to keep him in line but gentle enough to do it with kindness. He is excellent with other dogs, large and small, with no idea about cats, but he ignores most of my farm animals. He will only be placed with someone who has experience with these breeds, and it will take several visits for him to get to know you. He has all the disappointment he needs in his life, and I will keep him rather than place him in a questionable home. He has been neutered, up to date on shots, microchipped, HW neg. Maggie is so attached to her people! She is a typical German Shepherd and wants her person at her side. She absolutely loves attention and affection. She does amazing on leash and is well kenneled trained. She can scale any size fence or enclosure to be with her people! At her current home the fences are 6 foot and gates are 4 foot and she stays in her yard as long as she has a dog friend or her person but she should not be trusted outside alone. She loves to run and play with dog friends of all sizes and ages. She is very submissive if a friend tells her they are done playing, she will back off. THIS GIRL IS FULL OF ENERGY! We think she may have a touch of Malinois in her. She loves to bounce and run. She would be a fantastic running or hiking buddy. She loves to dunk in her bucket and play with her bowl so she might even be a fantastic lake girl. Maggie was brought to us from an amazing foster from another rescue who pulled her from the OKC shelter. She was very fearful and scared and first so she was very reserved and shy. With plenty of one on one handling and lots of love and affection she has learned that there are good people in the world and she wants nothing more than to give her little heart to one perfect person who will love her forever. She is very attentive to her surroundings and protects her yard with a loud scary bark. This rescue kiddo is new to us, coming from one of our partner rescues. We will update info and pictures as received. Mary is a sweet 3 year old girl that wants nothing more than a family of her own. She is currently staying with a partner rescue of ours with tons of large friends. She isn’t a fan of cats at all but they say she would do well with children but caution should always be taken with any introductions. She has lived a large chunk of her life in rescue and has great kennel manners. Potty training is down as long as she knows where she is supposed to go. Potty training is always a learning curve at a new place for rescues for a bit. Every animal in both rescues are fully vaccinated, sterilized and microchipped. Dewey was found on the highway. So he can be protective of his person and loves being around people. Doesn’t mind other animals in the house. He’s very goofy because he loves to play but he doesn’t realize how big he is, which is why a house with older children (7 years old and above) is better for him. He’s very smart and picks up on training fairly quickly. Loves to go on walks and car rides.
