He isn't overly active but he does like to play with other similar sized dogs in the yards. He LOVES to play in the doggie pools. He learns routines quickly, moving easily from indoor areas into the play yards and then back again when time to have meals. He recently completed obedience training at Mable Bassett Correctional facility. He does well on a leash and knows a few commands. Jabba is cautious of new people or dogs. Although Jabba gets along with other dogs and he interacts with volunteers well, there is an adjustment time before he accepts changes. Some of the volunteers think he would make a good companion dog for a single individual, a one on one situation. Some think he favors Scubby Doo in looks and personality. So if you like Scooby comics, think about giving Jabba a forever home. Piper is a beautiful 2 year old German Shepherd who recently joined us through Save Oklahoma Pets Society. She came to us as an owner surrender after her previous family could no longer care for her. It’s clear she loved her people very much. Those first few days were hard for her as she tried to understand why she was somewhere new. She kept going to the front door hoping to go home, and it broke our hearts watching her confusion. 💔 With time, patience, and lots of love, Piper has started to settle in and show her gentle, affectionate personality. She’s a little shy and submissive at first but incredibly sweet once she warms up. She loves giving kisses, has been quick to trust, and adjusted right away to her crate which has already become her safe space. 🥰 We’ve also learned she’s a very smart girl who knows sit, down, and stay. She enjoys training time and loves to please. She will make a wonderful companion for someone who appreciates the loyal and intelligent nature that german shepherds are known for. ❤️ Welcome to rescue life, sweet Piper. He is learning to walk on a leash, and go potty outside, and he is almost there. He sleeps in a crate, but wishes he could snuggle up with his foster family instead. Bandit is very curious about kitties, but will mind when we tell him to leave the cat alone. He has already learned sit and is learning to come when called. At the end of the day, he just wants some cuddles and chill time, and would totally be a lap dog if you would let him. Bandit would do well with a family who can give him attention and exercise.
