Story
Meet Lola   Lola is a gentle girl who is truly blossoming in her foster home after being surrendered to the shelter. While change can be scary, Lola is showing more of her sweet personality every day.   She’s naturally timid and prefers to come around on her terms — and when she does, it’s incredibly special. Once Lola trusts you, she is affectionate, loyal, and so loving. She does well with kids but will need a little space and patience at first while she settles in.   Lola would thrive in a home with other dogs to help build her confidence. She is not recommended for a home with cats. A yard to play in and a family committed to giving her regular exercise would make her so happy — especially since she loves toys!   Lola loves her people and likes to keep them close and would love a family that works from home, is retired, or has someone home majority of the day.   Lola isn’t the type to rush into your arms on day one — but if you’re willing to give her a little time, she will give you her whole heart.   ##2669535##

Story
Available for adoption! This easygoing guy was picked up by one of our Animal Control Officers off Old Voth Road and is now hoping for a fresh start. Rad Ronald isn't in the best shape at the moment and has some hair loss on his rear end, likely due to past malnutrition, but thankfully it is not contagious and he is already on the road to recovery. Despite his rough circumstances, Rad Ronald has a gentle and relaxed personality. He enjoys spending time outside, leisurely exploring the yard and taking in all the interesting scents around him. Treats are the quickest way to his heart, and he'll happily try his best to follow commands when a snack is involved. Rad Ronald is currently sharing a kennel with another laid-back dog, and the two get along wonderfully. He's ready to leave his past behind and find a family who will give him the love and care he deserves. Come meet me at 1884 Pine St. Beaumont, TX 77703!

Story
Maple, a spirited young dog, yearns for an adventurous companion. Her curiosity and playful nature make her an ideal walking or hiking partner, as she’s always eager to explore. Maple is exceptionally sweet and non-aggressive, making her a great fit for families with children. However, due to her high energy and quick movements, we recommend children older than a toddler. She can be left alone in her kennel while we’re at work, but please note that she’s currently undergoing heart-worm treatment, which is fully covered. Maple’s physical characteristics and behavior are predominantly German Shepherd, so if you’re familiar with this breed, she’s likely to be a great match for you. She was found wandering a neighborhood by a relative, and unfortunately, we couldn’t locate her owner. Regrettably, we’re unable to keep her at this time due to the ongoing costs associated with our epileptic dog’s treatment. She will be fully finished and recovered from her heartworm treatment in two months

Story
MawMaw came to us from a horrific hoarding situation. She had lived on a chain her entire life, with little room to move around. She had many litters of puppies. Mawmaw is a sweet girl who loves people, but she is very dog aggressive. She is still quite active for a senior of 10 yrs. MawMaw isn't a large shepherd, weighing in at 56 lbs. We would love to find MawMaw that perfect retirement home, where she can go outside and run about ( will require a securely fenced yard), lay on a cushy bed, catch a few movies on the tv and get her belly rubbed. Since she is dog aggressive, she will have to be an only dog. She has been spayed, is UTD on vaccines, Microchipped, the only negative here is she is HW Positive. She has been started on Pro Heart shots to help get rid of the heartworms, she is not symptomatic. If you would like to give this girl a retirement home she so deserves and the love and attention she has never had, please submit an application at www.pupsinperil.org/adoption/
