King has been with HOT-PAWS since 2021 when he came as a stray. This gentleman came to us Heartworm positive and has remained testing a light positive for heartworms despite treatment. Part of our No Dog Left Behind program his last Pro-heart 12 was in August of 2024. King is a friendly fellow and has been good with other dogs when leashed, particularly females. He walks well on a leash, crates okay, and stays well in a secure fence. He has been around older kids, but not smaller ones. He is a handsome boy looking for a home.

Story
Rinie (Rinnie) came to HOT-PAWS as a stray in 2023. This sweet girl prefers to be with her people. At the first foster, she would jump out of their yard (only a 4 foot fence) and lay in front of the front door to wait for the foster to get home. At her current foster with a 6 foot fence, she has not escaped, so will need a yard with a taller fence. She would prefer to be indoors. She walks well on a leash and will crate okay. She has a sweet and gentle demeanor, and has been good with kids and other dogs. Rinie (Rinnie) would like a home where she gets to spend time with her people if possible.

Story
My name is Nugget and I, along with my brother and sisters, was born on 10/23/21. Our mama was a rolling stone, fed by good people around town but, despite efforts to catch her, she continued to roam. It took patience and a lot of effort by an awesome rescue and area volunteers to get her to a safe place to give birth to us. When we were weaned, we moved into our own place at Bi-Stone Small Paws Rescue.

Story
Stark came to us as a foster. He was fearful and highly anxious. His fears were the outdoors and all the sounds that came with it. The vet prescribed Prozac but this made him sick. Without medication, we have used a lot of love and patience to desensitize him. He is now able to go outside early mornings and evenings. Many times during the day, however he prefers inside. He uses a dog door effectively. He obeys sit, lay down, go to your room, enough, and shake. I own a dog boarding facility from my home. Some dogs he does not get along with. However, he gets along with many others just fine. I cannot vouch for children. He is not a fan of walks due to residual fears. He does like running outside and playing with my terrier. We also have two dachshunds. He will accept his family and other dogs in the family. He will not accept an aggressive dog. He will defend himself. He has accepted our cat. He needs a loving and positive forever home with experienced owners.

Story
Buddy needs someone who will spend time with him. He is very active. He loves to play ball. He can catch anything you throw at him. He is very lovable. The only reason I'm having to let him go is I'm moving into an rv. Someone with a yard is preferable. He is house trained and dog door trained. He is intelligent mostly, but he does have some bad habits. I'm being truthful. He will tear up anything he can get a hold of. He loves to love. Overall he is great!
