Story
Age: 7 yearsA little bit about Max:-Kids: Has history living with children. All interactions should be supervised. Recommended to go to a home with people 8 years and older due to size.-Cats/Small Animals: No history with cats. All interactions should be gone slowly and over a period of time.-Dogs: Has history of living with dogs in the past. Potential for dog in home with successful dog-to-dog interaction. Reactivity has been noted in shelter.Max is a fun-loving, high-energy boy looking for a family who’s ready for adventure. This enthusiastic guy has lived with kids before and would love a home that can match his zest for life, but we recommend going to a home with older children, as max can be quite enthusiastic and forget how big he is, and he is still working on his ideal doggy manners. Max thrives when he has plenty of exercise, whether that’s long daily walks, exploring the outdoors, or lots of time playing in the yard. Max has lived with dogs in the past, but he’s shown some reactivity toward other dogs (as well as trucks and buses) so his future family will need to help him continue working on calm, positive experiences. When Max wants attention, he’ll let you know, as he’s quite the talker and isn’t shy about barking to get your attention! Max does have some medical care that would be required by his future family, but our adoptions team can tell you all about that. Underneath all that energy, though, he’s a big-hearted boy who just wants to be included and loved. If you’re looking for a spirited, outgoing companion who will happily join you on every outing, Max might be your perfect match!

A little bit about Gandolf:-Kids: History of living with a young child. All interactions should be supervise.-Cats/Small Animals: No history with small animals. All interactions should be done slowly and over a period of time.-Dogs: History of living with dogs. Potential for dog in home with successful dog-to-dog interaction.Gandolf is a handsome boy with a big heart and even bigger energy! This active boy is full of life and would thrive in a home that can provide plenty of physical exercise and mental enrichment. Gandolf is still working on his best doggy manners and will need a family committed to helping him channel his excitement in positive ways—he’s known to jump up when excited and has a habit of chewing on leashes. Gandolf is highly food-motivated and loves treats, making training both fun and rewarding! He especially enjoys mental stimulation toys like KONGs stuffed with goodies, snuffle mats, and slow feeders. He has lived with children and truly enjoys their company—he’s playful, affectionate, and loves a good cuddle. Because of his size and enthusiasm, he can play a bit rough at times and may accidentally knock little ones over, so supervision and guidance are important. Playful, affectionate, and eager to learn, Gandolf is looking for a loving home that can keep up with his energy, help him grow into the best version of himself, and shower him with the love (and treats!) he deserves. If you’re ready for an active, sweet companion, Gandolf might be your perfect match!
