Story
Archie Manning is a mix of some favorite breeds that are distinctly smart, fun and very lovingly devoted.  This boy is some German Shorthair Pointer/Lab  and maybe a little Pit mix.  To say he is sweet is not even beginning to describe the depth of his good temperament and loving nature.  He is submissive with other animals and with people alike.  Abandoned with his large litter at a young age and left in an outdoor pen with no human interaction, he learned that trusting people needed to have a warm up period.   It doesn’t take more than a few minutes, but he does assess new people at a distance and then will come in for the petting and attention being offered.  He is making strides every day on his ability to trust new people.  The  right person to guide him will just continue the training we have started with him.  He loves the 4 year old boy there at the foster home and he is good with the cats as well.  Archie Manning is good on a leash with hardly any pulling.  He shows a lazy streak and walks a bit then lays down and acts all silly.  He is being crate trained and learning how to signal to go outside to the bathroom.  He eats & sleeps in a crate. He has been introduced to goats, horses & cows and accepts them with no fear and no harm towards them.   This handsome boy who has the heart of a Loverboy is ready for a new home and you can email us at ccrnewengland@gmail.com if you are interested.  PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.December 8, 2023, 9:38 am
