Story
David is a 1-year-old German Shorthaired Pointer weighing around 57 pounds, and if there's one word to describe him, it's enthusiastic. He loves people, loves dogs, loves sniffing, loves playing—David approaches life with his whole heart. Because he's such a big, athletic boy, his excitement can sometimes come across as a little overwhelming at first, but underneath it all he's a total softie who just wants to be your friend. His version of saying "I love you" might involve launching himself in your direction with more enthusiasm than finesse. David is incredibly agile and athletic. He can leap impressively high into the air, does adorable bunny hops when he's excited, and is always ready for his next adventure. Despite all that energy, he's also convinced that personal space is overrated and is more than happy to climb into your lap or lay on top of you whenever the opportunity presents itself. At heart, David is still very much a puppy in a big-boy body. He's looking for an adopter who will embrace his energy, continue his training, and help him learn how to channel all that excitement into being the best companion he can be. For someone who enjoys an active lifestyle and wants a fun, affectionate sidekick, David has all the makings of an amazing best friend. Approved adopters interested in David can email adopt@hbrdogs.com for more info. If you're not approved yet, apply today at hbrdogs.com.

Story
Sandy was found abandoned with her mom and six other puppies in Puerto Rico. They were taken in by a wonderful family in Puerto Rico who Fostered them and got them on a plane to Pennington New Jersey. They have been very well cared for from the day they were found. Sandy is a Sato, one of the best family dogs you could possibly find! Sandy is a super sweet little puppy who will make a wonderful addition to any family. She is about four months old and will likely be around 50 pounds as an adult. They have been well cared for and loved in their foster home. All our dogs/pups are spayed/neutered and microchipped prior to adoption. They have been dewormed and are current on vaccinations. Our adoption fee includes 30 days of complimentary medical insurance for your new pet. Breed and size is frequently a guess and can not be guaranteed. Our dogs are fostered on a private residence, we do not have a free standing shelter. They live on a farm where they run and play with other dogs, cats, horses, and barnyard fowl. Initial contact with us must be made through e-mail. E-mail ARFofMercer@gmail.com directly for an adoption application or with any questions. Once your adoption application is approved, you will be invited to meet our dogs/puppies.

Story
There must have been a time when se was loved. You can see it in the way she sits so politely. The way she watches your face for direction. The way she understands "sit" and gentle correction. The way she knows a treat and how to earn it. And the way she adores cuddling! We're pretty sure she didn't end up being abandoned because she wasn't good enough. We wish we knew the story, but all we know is she was homeless and all the searching did not turn up her family! But here's what matters now- she is incredibly smart, she is house trained. She bonds quickly with her people. She has clearly lived in a home before. And she is waiting for that feeling again! If you have room in your home- and your heart- she is ready to give you everything she has! Penny is people focused, has a good energy level that a family offering mental stimulation and fun can easily offer her. Go hiking, go jogging....take her with you camping! She displays super loyal bonding with her person traits. Penny is stunning- athletic and lean. She has a very confident personality and would do best with a dog that is not dominant. We don't know if she's lived with other dogs, but she has successfully been with them where she was initially found. Located in New Jersey- come meet Penny and see if she's the dog for you!!

Story
Hi!  My name is Abbey and I am looking for my own forever home.  I was surrendered along with my brother to a small rescue after my owner decided I was no longer wanted.  A volunteer with that rescue contacted BCAA to see if they could help and they said yes ... yeah!  I appear to be a German short-haired pointer and my foster mom says I've got the most beautiful and soft coat and I'm so sweet.  The vet feels I'm about 8 months old and when I first came into foster I was around 33lbs, but my foster mom is giving me a little extra yummy food and says I'm starting to fill out nicely and should probably be around 40-45lbs when all grown up.  I was pretty scared when I first came into foster but everyone has been so nice and now I get lots of attention and treats (both of which I love) and I have really come out of my shell.  I have gotten along with all of the other dogs I have met and I enjoy playing with them.  While I have only barked at the cats I have seen when in my crate, it might be best to be in a home without them.  I have done really well in my crate without any accidents or tearing up any of my bedding and will go right in when asked; however, I would really prefer to be out with you.  When I first came into foster, I was so scared I wouldn't walk on leash but now I'm slowly learning about what it's all about and that it means I get to be with you and go on an adventure.  If you would like to meet me, please fill out an application which can be found at www.bcaaofnj.org.Interested in adopting this pet?Click here for BCAA's on-line Application! PLEASE NOTE: Our adoption fee helps to cover our expenses and includes all shots, *age appropriate*, distemper and rabies, fecal check, spay/neuter, heartworm test, grooming, and in many cases dental and also the fee we pay when we rescue from a shelter.
