Story
Nutmeg came to us as a little puppy who was supposed to be a Chocolate Lab. Turns out, the guy we got her from was not honest. We THINK she is a Herman Shorthaired Pointer, but we have no papers, or course, and someone recently told me they think she is a Vizsla. The pictures seem to look like she might be. She was my son's dog, and when he left for college he left her with me, but when he came back, he decided he was not a dog person, and has two cats now. I can't keep up with her, and my wife has developed an allergy. Nutmeg is sweet, and very affectionate, but she has too much energy for me. She does not like to be confined, and when we had visitors in the house and we shut her up in a room, she tore the door frame apart to get out to be with us. She would do great as an inside/outside dog, but she needs a strong fence. Our fence will not hold her as it is old, and easy to get under. I really do not want to have to give her up, but I am not able to keep her.

Story
Tyson came to us as a foster for another Rescue. That Rescue decided it was in his best interest to hand over to Bully Me Not since I have full knowledge of him and his needs. Tyson is a sweet boy, very affectionate and loving, so much so that he doesn't share his attention. He resource guards and you are his biggest resource. He is also food aggressive. Just feed separately. Negatives being said, he is very intelligent and loves to play with the other dogs in the yard. He absolutely adores puppies!! He is extremely gentle with everything and submissive with dogs and people. He does have some hunting instincts in him. He will tree a squirrel and then look to you. He also will watch birds and wait for his opportunity. He has patience and love and wants to please. He really is a great boy!

Story
Watch out! May is fully vetted and ready to play! May was born on 10/22/23 she reminds us of a German Short-haired Pointer mixed with a Blue Heeler with her beautiful white coat, she sporting a black mask and dazzling gray/silver speckles, we think she will be medium-large sized when full grown, roughly 45-65lbs. May has been busy stealing the hearts of all of our volunteers and everyone she meets! She is the sweetest baby who loves to play and she's always ready for her next adventure. May is looking for a fun-loving family, she would make a great hiking/running partner and after all the fun is had for the day, she enjoys cuddling up for some snuggles. We love May and know you will too!To adopt this pet, please go to hsnwga.org, 'Adoption' then 'Application for Adoption', to complete an online application to be preapproved. Due to the high volume of applications received, our Adoption Coordinator will only contact the applicant that best meets the needs of the pet.
