Story
Rescued from local animal shelter in November 2025. She was estimated to be a little over a year old. I was told she came into the shelter malnourished/underweight and from my experience with her she may have suffered some trauma of being left alone/abandoned and possibly abused (she gets very startled by sudden movements or noises). She is SUPER sweet and very smart. She gets protective of her family quick to bark at strangers who approach the house. BUT, she doesnt get aggressive, bite or jump on people especially when walking her. She LOVES to run, hike, be free from a leash. Not trained to stay by your side or anything but I can walk her off leash; she listens to commands well (come, sit, lay down). She loves to ride in the car with you. In general, she just wants to be with her person as much as possible. That said, she does get some separation anxiety. Quick to whine/cry for you. She doesnt chew walls or couches but needs a stress chew toy to dig into. Shes incredible.

Story
Artemis is our resident sweetheart. She loves to play fetch and drops it at your feet dutifully every time. Despite her 9 years of wisdom, she is still spry and fit for exercise. She is as smart as they come and knows lots of commands- sit, down, shake, and heel- and is also potty and crate trained! She has successfully lived with children in the past but does prefer the older, respectful variety. She has one request for her forever home: she needs to be the only dog.
