I am a beautiful and affectionate adult female Pomsky who is a total sweetheart if I do say so myself!! I love going on leashed walks, eating treats, snuggling and giving kisses!  Fence in yard is not needed for me, but if you have it, I will keep the yard clear of all small critters who may try to come in the yard!  I do, however, need to be leashed when outside, should you not have a fence. I am a calm lady as long as I can see my family, but if they go out of my sight, I get anxious.  If they put me in that cave thing you people call a kennel/crate I will yell at them constantly until they let me out. I mean seriously, do they NOT understand that I too, am part of the family and I should be with them NOT confined in that cave!! I would love to find a family where someone is home most of the time, or someone who can help with my separation anxiety.  Shared walls are not a match for me as I have the "voice of a husky."  As I said, I don't like that kennel thing, but I still make some noise when left alone, even outside the kennel.  I don't do anything naught, except howl for you, but I wait for your return! Anyway, I know the “sit” command; I am potty trained, and I am good with larger dogs. However, I get nippy with smaller dogs and I have a high prey drive, so will chase those meowy things. I need a home with pups my size, or larger, if others are there.  Additionally, I don’t like a lot of commotion, so small kids aren't a match for me.  My foster family thinks that kids over the age of 5 would be good for me. All I dream about now is finding my furever home with a patient person who will shower me with unconditional love, keep me safe and will NOT give up on me. I’m a silly little lady who loves naps, short walks, treats, mealtimes, and enjoying the quieter side of life. I don’t need a lot of activity to be happy, and I’m happiest when life is calm, predictable, and comfortable. I get along well with small dogs and cats, and I do well with respectful humans who understand that an older dog needs plenty of rest and personal space. I like attention and enjoy being near my people, but I’m not really a lapdog and don’t particularly enjoy being held. I’m perfectly content to hang out nearby while you watch a movie, relax, or go about your day. ❤️ Of course, I have my goofy moments too! Breakfast and dinner are especially exciting around here, and you may get to see my silly side when mealtime rolls around. A few things I'm still working on I do well with potty training when I’m kept on a consistent schedule. But I’m a senior lady, and when I need to go, I need to go! A fenced backyard would be a wonderful bonus for quick, easy potty breaks. It would also give me a comfortable space to enjoy some outdoor time while I continue learning how to walk on a harness. I’m still getting the hang of leashed walks. If something startles me, I may freeze or back away, so I’ll need a patient family who will let me build confidence at my own pace. New environments and fast-moving things can make me nervous, and I may feel more comfortable once I know I’m safe and settled. I’m not a big fan of going into my kennel, but I tolerate being kenneled when necessary, including for car rides. My medical needs I have a mammary lump and a heart murmur, and there is also concern about possible heart enlargement. My forever family will need to continue appropriate veterinary monitoring and follow veterinary recommendations for my care, including keeping me on my special heart-healthy diet. I may be a senior girl, but I still have plenty of love, personality, and goofy mealtime enthusiasm to share. I’m looking for someone who will appreciate the simple things with me: a cozy place to nap, a peaceful home, a few tasty treats, gentle companionship, and the chance to enjoy my golden years at my own pace. Welcome Loti to CCPAL Rescue. She is a 3-month-old, 5-pound Pomeranian mix puppy. She was found on the streets of San Antonio. She was alone and afraid in the country and a good Samaritan found her. He called CCPAL to come and get her. Marlene rushed to get her. She had a badly injured right eye. We have cleaned her up and she will have the eye removed at her spay surgery soon. She is all smiles and happiness, despite her recent homeless stent. It is amazing that a 5-pound fluff ball could survive any time in the country of Texas. We have fox, coyote, wild hogs; just to name a few predators. She loves to be held and will be an amazing lap dog for someone looking for a sweet companion. She has really soft and fluffy coat. She will need brushed regularly to keep it from matting. She prances and has the adorable curly tail. She is small enough to go with you in a carry bag. She is social and loves everyone. She would be fine with children. Due to her trusting nature and small size, we recommend children being 8 or older. She would be fine in a condo sized yard as well. She is fun and energetic but won’t require much more than some play time in her yard or a nice with with her new family. She is adorable and will be ready for adoption soon. She is getting her vaccinations and the spay and eye removal will be soon. She can be adopted locally in Texas or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is $600 and transport would be $200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states.
