Though his vision is clouded by cataracts and he lives with a heart murmur, Waffles doesn’t let life’s little hurdles dampen his spirit—he simply takes things at a more mindful pace. He is a professional-level snuggler who lives for two things: tasty treats and a warm lap to call his own. Because the world can be a bit blurry for him, Waffles appreciates a gentle approach and a calm environment where he can map out his surroundings without any sudden surprises. Once he hears your voice and knows you're near, he will happily shower you with his signature kisses. If you have a quiet home and a heart for seniors, Waffles is ready to spend his golden years being your most loyal, affectionate companion.

Meet Clara, our stunning mystery girl… Doodle? Giant Schnauzer? A little of both? Clara has very strong Giant Schnauzer features and may be purebred or close to it, though she could also be mixed with a Standard Poodle. Because we don’t have much history on her—and she previously needed to be shaved down—it’s difficult to say for sure. What we do know is that Clara is estimated to be 3.5–4 years old, and regardless of her breed mix, she is truly the total package. Clara is currently fostered with a large Goldendoodle and a 12-year-old child and has done wonderfully in the home. She has not yet been tested with cats or very young children. Clara is fully housetrained and does not require crating overnight or when her foster family is away, making her an exceptional house guest. She absolutely loves her two- and four-legged family members and thrives on companionship. Clara bonds deeply with her people, so she will need a home with at least one other dog and, ideally, a family that is home often to give her the affection she craves. She previously lived successfully with another large dog as well as two Chihuahua mixes. Dee-oh-gee is a sweet boy who loves his walks. He can be a bit shy upon first greeting and needs a slow intro. When he warms up to you, he is a very sweet boy who loves to sit on your lap. He can, however, become protective of "his people". There are things you can do to prevent this behavior but it would need continued work in the home.
