Meet Connie, an 8-year-old Schnauzer with a soft expression, a gentle heart, and a tail that seems to wag for everyone she meets. Connie is the kind of dog who reminds you why Schnauzers are so beloved. She’s friendly, affectionate, and genuinely happy to make new friends. People? She adores them. Other dogs? She’s delighted to meet them. Connie carries herself with the sweet confidence of a dog who just assumes the world is full of good things — and she plans to be one of them. At eight years old, Connie is in that wonderful stage of life where she’s past the puppy chaos but still has plenty of pep in her step. She enjoys companionship, leisurely strolls, and being near her people. Whether it’s lounging beside you while you read or greeting visitors at the door with her bright-eyed enthusiasm, Connie simply wants to be included. Connie recently had bloodwork results that may indicate that she has Cushing's disease. She has started medication to help manage it and will have a recheck in a couple of weeks to monitor her progress. Her future family should be prepared for ongoing medical management and committed to keeping up with her care — but in return, you’ll receive unwavering devotion and sweetness every single day. Dee-oh-gee is a sweet boy who loves his walks. He can be a bit shy upon first greeting and needs a slow intro. When he warms up to you, he is a very sweet boy who loves to sit on your lap. He can, however, become protective of "his people". There are things you can do to prevent this behavior but it would need continued work in the home.
