Penelope is a gentle, soft-hearted girl with an easygoing nature and a quiet charm that makes her incredibly easy to love. While she may be a little shy at first, she opens up quickly once she feels safe and comfortable. Penelope is fully house trained and can be trusted to free roam the house all day without accidents or getting into anything. She is crate trained and enjoys having a crate as a safe space, though she rarely uses it anymore. She rides calmly in the car, does wonderfully with routine grooming, and is excellent for nail trims. Penelope has a mellow personality but has recently begun showing interest in playing with other dogs. She would enjoy a calm, mild dog companion, though she would also be perfectly happy soaking up all the attention as the only dog in the home. She does exceptionally well with cats, never chasing them and patiently allowing them to rub on her or even lick her face. One of her favorite activities is carrying around her cat fish toy, which perfectly matches her gentle and endearing personality. Penelope would be a great fit for most families and would do best with mild, respectful children who will give her time and space to adjust. Overall, she is a truly wonderful dog who is ready to settle into a loving, stable home.
