Story
ALL our cats and dogs are in the NY area but can be adopted out of state to the purrfect furever home.  In some cases, we can help transport.  Zani's al fresco Summer Adoptions  follow us on FB to find us this summer as we will try new locations to meet the needs of NYC and support the little stores:)     8M Old 25lbs Misty will be here Oct21 from Arkansas. All dogs are located in NY/NJ area All our puppies need puppy play dates/doggy facetime so we recommend homes with other pups or daily interactions to keep them tired out, happy and social.     Facebook: Zani's Furry Friends ZFF (weekly adoption event info posted there)Twitter: zanisff Instagram: zanisfurryfriends   Dogs are spayed/neutered, UTD on age appropriate vaccines, Rabies vaxed, and microchipped (not Lyme vaxed but we seriously recommend it!)  All are in the NY/NJ area but we will adopt out of state to the purrfect home and in some cases, we can arrange transport.  Please go to our site  https://zanisfurryfriends.org  fill out an application  Many of us (cats/dogs) will be on display on Saturdays or Sundays, weather dependent--please ask by writing us at dogs@zanisfurryfriends.org and following us on FB. If you are seriously interested in adopting one of us in particular, please fill out an application early Friday so that we can be sure to be there. Otherwise we decide based on other variables. Usually we are in our foster homes so this is a bit more stressful and a slightly artificial environment but we do want to be seen and find our furever homes too.   Please consider providing a home for more than one dog, especially if you are considering adopting a puppy. Dogs are pack animals and very much enjoy as well as need other dog company to learn to play, socialize and be good companion animals to people. The upside to this is that you won't feel as guilty leaving them alone and you get twice the love. Please come! And if you can't adopt, maybe you can foster or volunteer, and you can always donate!   All dogs are located in NY/NJ area All our puppies need puppy play dates/doggy facetime so we recommend homes with other pups or daily interactions to keep them tired out, happy and social.     Facebook: Zani's Furry Friends ZFF (weekly adoption event info posted there) Twitter: zanisff  Instagram: zanisfurryfriends   Dogs are spayed/neutered, UTD on age appropriate vaccines, Rabies vaxed, and microchipped (not Lyme vaxed but we seriously recommend it!)  All are in the NY/NJ area but we will adopt out of state to the purrfect home and in some cases, we can arrange transport.  Please go to our site  https://zanisfurryfriends.org  fill out an application  Many of us (cats/dogs) will be on display on Saturdays or Sundays, weather dependent--please ask by writing us at dogs@zanisfurryfriends.org and following us on FB. Story
Marshall is one of the best-behaved pups we have ever met. He is always polite and knows his boundaries. He loves his humans and gets along great with all the dogs in his foster home. Considering how his life started out it's a wonder he turned out as well as he did. Marshall came to us by total accident. A Military Family had just arrived in Watertown, NY and were settling into a Motel until their Base house could be ready for them. They were walking their dog in back of the Motel when they heard a faint cry. They couldn't figure out what it was. Then their dog started pulling on the leash taking them deeper into the woods where they found a little white puppy with black ears. (Little Marshall). They knew they couldn't keep him, so they started calling all around Watertown to find some help. Finally, someone gave them Gerties number and they called us. We told them we would take the pup, but we couldn't go to Watertown to get him at that time. The Dad said not to worry he would be sure to get the pup to us. We gave him our address and about an hour & a half later he was pulling in our driveway. His Little boy named him Marshall. What a kind and loving family to help a cold and freezing baby puppy. When we took him to the vet, he said he was only about 6 to 8 weeks old. What kind of a person does this to a helpless puppy? Marshall has not been tested with cats. He spends his entire day playing and running in the yard. Even in the mist of playing he will take a few minutes and stop what he is doing just to give his human a cuddle. Then right back to playing. We have a couple of extra bedrooms, so he has a room all to him. After his Breakfast & Dinner he likes to take a little nap. Sometimes he reminds me of a little old man. He will need a fenced yard in his new home and a playful buddy to keep him busy. Marshall is a very special boy and will need a very special forever home. We do not recommend toddlers with any very active puppy. Young school aged children would be fine as long as the child has been taught respect for animals. Our guess on his DOB would be OCT. 31 2023
