Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Zephyr is an approximate 5 year old Husky/Lab(?) mix. She is super smart, playful, funny, and obedient. Zephyr was a transfer from SFSPCA where she wasn't getting much interest. She had come to them as a mom with pups and was in foster care until her pups were ready for adoption. At that time, Zephyr was shutdown and unsure. The SFSPCA team did a fabulous job of getting her accustomed to the leash and helping her learn to trust. Since her arrival at Azaya, she has blossomed into a silly girl with TONS of personality. She loves to play with other dogs, is a pleasure to walk on the leash, and will talk back to you (as Huskies are prone to do). She has participated in several rounds of our obedience program and is now used as our demo dog. This dog has made a huge turnaround and we don't think she's finished surprising us yet. Please inquire about how Zephyr can add some quick wit and never ending curiosity to your life All of our animals are up to date on their vaccinations, spayed/neutered, microchipped, and have had a physical exam. At adoption we provide: veterinary records and vaccine certificates, castration certificate, lifetime lost animal support, one month’s worth of flea medication and heartworm medication, one week’s worth of food, a leash, a collar, an ID tag, and a familiar toy or blanket to help them settle in. We also provide lifetime basic positive training support. He is true to his breed and loves to chat, play, and be a goober! When meeting another dog his size, he was a little forward, so we recommend a longer introduction to other dogs. Ralphie will need an adopter that can keep up with his energy level and provide him with lots of enrichment & exercise. We are recommending that he go into an adult only home.  For more information about this animal, call:Sonoma County Animal Services at (707) 565-71001247 Century Court, Santa Rosa Tuesday - Saturday12:00 - 5:00 p.m.Adoptions are processed until 4:30 p.m.May 1, 2024, 2:02 am

He's an anxious dog who's skittish around new people and in new places. We've found he's much more confident when in the presence of another dog. He's a playful, adolescent husky with a lot of energy. So his new family should anticipate basic adolescent dog antics. It takes him a while to warm up to new people. Once he knows you he enjoys snuggles and treats. Because of his desire to wander, we do not recommend that Max is allowed to be off leash in unfenced areas.  Adoption Center: (415) 506-6225 The Marin Humane Society 171 Bel Marin Keys Blvd., Novato, California 94949 Email: adoptions@marinhumanesociety.orgMay 1, 2024, 2:02 am
