Story
Nash is a special "rescue only" dog who has bite experiences.  He will not be available until we have been able to work with him and feel comfortable in him meeting experienced adults. This posting is FYI only - He is 6 years young and 55 lbs. He has boundaries, but he's a fun-loving dog.  He cues when he's annoyed, so learning his cues and working patiently with him will alleviate a lot of prior behaviors.   He gets along well with other dogs [some don't get along with him, but he's been fine with them], and let's our volunteers cut his nails without a fuss.   NO APPOINTMENTS at this time. Applications only from adults experienced with big dog training. NO APPOINTMENTS at this time. No children, no cats, no other dogs. He did get along well with Maverick here, who was 20 pounds bigger than Nash. Please find our applications and valuable information under  "Adopt a dog"* on our website:  *www.beaglesandbuddies.com* and email your application to beaglesandbuddies@gmail.com. Let us know your preference of appointment day/time and which dogs you are interested in and we will do our best to accommodate and email you the closest appointment available. Please allow us up to a week to get back to you. Most appointments will be Friday-Sunday, 10 am - 2 pm, for an hour. *Note bring any other dog/s and the entire family to your meet and greet at B&B.* A complimentary training manual is included with each adoption, authored by terristeuben.com. Check out her website - she is fabulous! B&B is glad to be open during the pandemic. We know the value and comfort of a loving pet companion and are doing our best to help the dogs and folks who need them. We update our website daily and are always rescuing, vetting, rehabilitating, socializing. * We are accepting applications for volunteers to spend time with our dogs, hang out, sing/read to the shy ones, walk/toss ball with those who go to the playgrounds; cleaning, office work, gardening, and building/repair projects! **Note that young dogs and pure breeds are at the highest end of our prices.* Please find our applications and valuable information under  "Adopt a dog"* on our website:  *www.beaglesandbuddies.com* and email your application to beaglesandbuddies@gmail.com. Let us know your preference of appointment day/time and which dogs you are interested in and we will do our best to accommodate and email you the closest appointment available. For further info on the adoption process, please visit our home page and check out the "Adopt a Dog" section, which has thorough instructions.  All our dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and  fully vaccinated before adoption; they have been wormed, bathed, socialized, walked daily and much loved; each adoptee leaves with a leash, collar, and all medical records.   Our prices are higher than the shelters' because we nurse the dogs through their illnesses and get them needed surgeries and dentals. We also spend time socializing. Furthermore, unlike shelters, rescues do not get financial aid from the government and must rely on donations, grants, and adoption fees. Our fees for adults start at $150 and usually go up to $750. Young adults that are high in demand may be a little over $750.00. For puppies and purebreds, we charge up to $1000. The lower end is for dogs who have been here a while. The good news is that, because rescues fall under the "charity" category, the fees for our dogs are officially donations and are therefore tax deductible. You can think of it as donating to a worthy cause and getting a dog in return!  Sponsor Me Beagles & Buddies must find ways to raise money so we can continue saving dogs. Your tax-deductible donation keeps our rescue kennel operating!  Hours Friday:  10 am to 3 pm Saturday:  10 am to 3 pm Sunday: 10 am to 3 pm Monday: CLOSED Tuesday: CLOSED Wednesday: CLOSED Thursday: CLOSED &#226&#128&#139 Weekday appointments may be available.  We are a small staff and do our best to accommodate your needs. **Note that during COVID, we are not holding open houses on any day. Story
Meet Drake, a Golden retriever mixed breed dog with a lot of and loyalty to give. Our household has cared for Drake for 4 years and won’t be able to take him when relocating. He loves car rides, laying around, and hikes and walks all equally. We have not had him with other pets and it’s possible he’s better being the only fur baby of the home. Would love to live with a family that is home regularly to give him attention and fulfill his sense of purpose. He used to be a strong puller on the leash, but he seems to be more accustomed to letting the human lead now. He has shown aggression on walks when confronted by smaller dogs so we always use caution. As he is getting older and is also very large, he just takes short walks and really enjoys them. Please let us know if you are interested or would like to talk.

Story
Poppy is a very happy and easily excited dog. She is a beautiful golden mix. She loves attention and treats. Poppy is trained to use pee pads when inside the house for both pee and poop. She loves to run in the back yard and dig holes to look for gophers. She gets excited about everything, a little too excited with kids and loves to jump on them and any guest when they come over. We would prefer if she was adopted by a family with older kids as she can get too excited and jump on small kids. Her barks sound aggressive but that is just her excited bark. Not aggressive at all, just extremely excited.
