Story
Meet Sierra, a beautiful 5-year-old Retriever mix with a stunning red coat and a loyal heart. She came to us as a stray back in August of 2022 after being found near the Palm Springs windmills, and she’s been waiting far too long for the right person to see just how special she is. Sierra is affectionate and loving with the people she knows and trusts. Once you’re in her circle, she’s the kind of dog who wants to be by your side, enjoying walks, playtime, and a good natural chew. She would thrive with an active adopter or someone with a yard where she can stretch her legs and enjoy her day. She walks well on leash, knows commands like sit and paw, and has a smart, playful side that shines once she feels comfortable. Sierra can be wary of strangers and would do best in an adult home or one with older children only. She does well with some dogs, especially male dogs, and a dog-to-dog meet and greet is strongly recommended if there’s already a pup at home. Sierra has spent years waiting for her fresh start. She doesn’t need perfect—just someone patient, understanding, and ready to let her finally be someone’s dog.

Story
Meet Copper, an absolutely adorable 8 month old Golden Retriever/Australian Shepherd mix with a heart as beautiful as her face! This sweet girl has so much love to give, and she's happiest when she's getting attention from her favorite people. If you're looking for a companion who will make you feel loved every single day, Copper might just be your girl! Copper is incredibly loving and affectionate. She doesn't just enjoy being close to you; she loves giving hugs, too! She's the kind of girl who wants to be part of whatever you're doing, whether you're spending time together, enjoying an outing, or simply relaxing at home. Her sweet personality and love for human connection make her an especially endearing companion. She's also a smart girl who enjoys listening and engaging with her people. Copper brings together two breeds known for their intelligence, devotion, and enthusiasm for life. She's still young, with so much potential to learn new skills and become an amazing lifelong companion. Copper has plenty of puppy energy, so she'd love a family who can include her in daily walks, playtime, training, and fun adventures. She'll benefit from continued guidance, positive reinforcement, and opportunities to keep both her mind and body busy as she grows. The time you invest in her now will help her develop into the wonderful adult dog she's meant to be. But after all the excitement of the day, Copper's favorite place may just be right beside you, soaking up attention and sharing one of her signature hugs. She's a beautiful blend of playful energy and affectionate sweetness, ready to bring laughter, companionship, and lots of love into her future home. At just 8 months old, Copper has her whole life ahead of her, and she's hoping to find a family who will love her through every stage. If you're ready for a devoted, affectionate best friend who believes hugs are always a good idea, Copper is waiting to meet you!
