Story
Introducing Fay! This sweet and timid pup is currently residing in a foster home, working on building her confidence and overcoming her fears. Fay is clever and highly food-motivated, making her an excellent candidate for learning new tricks and basic manners. With some yummy treats as motivation, Fay is sure to impress you with her intelligence and engagement. Fay's ideal home would be one that is willing to take things slow to help her grow and flourish. She would thrive in a household with another confident dog as a role model, as they can guide her and show her that the outside world is a safe and fun place to explore. As Fay can be easily startled by loud noises and cars driving by, a closed-in backyard would provide her with a safe and secure environment. This will allow her to gradually overcome her fears and help her feel more at ease in her surroundings. If you are a patient and compassionate person looking to make a positive impact on a shelter dog's life, Fay could be the perfect match for you. With time, love, and understanding, Fay will surely blossom into a confident and happy companion. Check out Fay's Instagram page for the latest on how she is doing in her foster home! https://www.instagram.com/fay_thecutestshelterdog/ I am an All-Star dog! My adoption appointment includes a discussion with our Training Team, and I will go home with my very own no pull-harness and a few enrichment goodies to help get us off to a good start. To learn more about me or to schedule an appointment to meet me, email info@ahconnects.org (please include your name and phone number), and the staff will be happy to help you! I hope to meet you soon! Our dogs and puppies go home spayed/neutered, microchipped, heartworm tested (6 months and over), and up to date on core vaccines, heartworm, flea, and tick preventatives. Their adoption also includes a free-vet exam at one of our participating veterinarians.

We're beautiful retrievers that came from a place where our owner could no longer care for all of us We're only 12 weeks and are soft and furry, just waiting to become that Gorgeous Golden we were meant to be. Yes we are AKC pure but TCPDR policy is to never give out any "PAPERS" We are only meant to be pampered pooches that get to be spoiled. We love our tennis balls and stuffy toys and are so good natured. We love our baths and our nighttime meditation music Our rabies and all vaccines as well Bordetella, microchip, deworming and health certificates have been done. Our adoption fee is $800 and comes with our spay/nueter at our vet. Our vet costs have risen significantly if you get this done at your vet you will be reimbursed 100.00 upon proof. Please keep in mind if you are to go to another vet costs are ranging 400 to 800 dollars alone. This policy is strictly enforced. They are precious and animals are so overwhelmed in shelters we cannot add to this We do not adopt outside of IL/WI area and please give us time to go over applications. We are volunteer our time. Please advise us if you are applying at other rescues because we do not want to spend time on an application that is a maybe. We will not hold due to taking up foster homes. Our pups are never to be rehomed and are microchipped Please apply at thecharlieprojectdogrescue.com DACPT#506053 Please visit our website www.thecharlieprojectdogrescue.com to learn more about this amazing pet and to see other available dogs.

Story
Cesar is ready for his forever home! He is believed to be a Golden Retriever/Shepherd mix, around 9-10 years old and about 50ish pounds. He is a docile and sweet guy that is coming out of his shell in his foster home. Prior to coming to BAARK, Cesar spent the majority of his life on a homeless dog ranch in Texas where he did not get much one-on-one human contact. It does take him a little time to open up to people but after a couple days in his foster home, he soon became a “velcro dog” following his foster mom everywhere she goes. He is house broken (has had zero accidents in his foster home) and crate trained. He loves to sleep in his crate but does not need to be crated when left alone, or at night; he is free to roam with no issues. Cesar loves being outside and would love his forever family to have a secure, fenced yard. He has great leash manners and enjoys his daily walks, as well. He is good with other dogs with proper introduction and would do well with another calm dog in the home; he would be fine as an only dog too. We do not know how Cesar is with cats. A home without small children would be best for Cesar as he gets a bit nervous with loud noises and fast movements. Cesar is fully vetted, up to date on all vaccinations, is heartworm negative and his senior bloodwork panel came back perfect. He is also neutered, microchipped and recently had a dental cleaning with appropriate extractions. Due to his having osteoarthritis, typical of larger dogs his age, he would do best continuing to take medications to help. Currently he is taking Omega 3s, Cosequin and Cortaflex Plus that have greatly helped him in his day to day movement. We believe Cesar is also a bit hard of hearing. If you’re looking for a low key, easy going smiley guy who loves to find a soft spot and take a nap, Cesar is your pup!
