Story
Here is Bentley, a 7 year old golden retriever. He’s a sweet loving boy much of a the time, has the pretty typical golden goofiness. He has had some issues of aggression with both owners, typically with possession aggression, where he takes our items, and we have to take him out of the room to grab it so he doesn’t snap at us. He is typically more aggressive with the male, sometimes deciding he doesn’t want to let him in the door as he goes inside, and shows teeth. Never had a problem with our kiddo, but we also don’t want to take that chance. He also has many allergies which is the main reason we are needing to part ways with him. We don’t feel like we can keep up with his ongoing, typically monthly allergy shot and/or pills, and all specialized dog foods we’ve tried, hasn’t helped keep us out of the vet. He gets chronic ear infections and spots on his belly, after about 3 weeks from cytopoint, he’s typically back itching constantly and we don’t feel we keep up with it enough for him

Chase has learned to live with our cat & I've seen him play well with small dogs.He has medium/big dog fear aggression. I asked previous owner if he had been attacked or bitten by another dog or wild animal, they said no. He's been a part of our family for 4 yrs & isn't as reactive w/other dogs as he used to be. That's to say, if he is a good distance he doesn't growl, show teeth, or lunge as much.Chase needs an experienced adopter, plenty of room to roam in his own pvt yard without medium/big dogs nearby. I have talked with a couple of trainers & they think it's likely he can be trained out of his fear aggression. This would be from a knowledgeable owner or trained professional.He loves people & attention. I would caution that he isn't in a home w/small children just because he hasn't lived w/young children in our home or w/original owner.He really is very sweet like Golden Retrievers are known for, he just has some special needs.Any of his supplies you want are part of adoption fee!

I found Rocky with his litter mate a few months ago. I have rehomed his brother and he needs a home. I am not able to financially care for him. I desperately need to get him into a loving home, where he can receive medical care, and shots to keep him healthy, and he would benefit greatly from being neutered. He’s walks ok on a leash doesn’t pull much, unless he sees a squirrel.. he’s super loving, and nuzzles often. He gets get along with my two golden retrievers. I have three cats, but I don’t quite trust him alone with them yet. He always seems to get a little excited when they come into the room and I just say his name and he stops. He knows basic command sit shake lay down and it is very food driven so it’s easy to train him. I have two kids 12 and 15 with no issues around older kids. Please if you’re ready for a new family member give Rocky a chance. He’s playful like a golden yet a gentle giant like a pyrenees.

Jade is currently in foster with Rescue 13 in Kansas City. I raised Jade with our family and I am hoping to find the perfect home for this beautiful dog. She is right at one year old. She will need some help with basic training and she has a loud protective bark we have been working with her on. With a 2 and 5 year old and my husband traveling, we just could not give Jade the time and focus she deserves, but Jade has the potential to be an amazing dog. She’s also mixed with the best and most beautiful breeds. We love her so much and we hope she finds the family she deserves out there. 💞She has been working on crate training and improving every day!
