Story
MBR holds monthly adoption events on the 2nd Saturday of every month at Tractor Supply in Columbia Station, 24100 Royalton Road from 11 am - 2 pm. Questions can be emailed to rescue@mbrohio.com Meet Chelsea — a sweet, golden-hearted senior looking for her forever home. Chelsea is a 10–12-year-old Golden mix who proves that age is just a number. This older gal still has plenty of joy left to share, especially when there’s snow to play in, a stuffed toy to toss around, or a good game of tug-of-war on the agenda. She’s a social lady who gets along well with other dogs and cats. She hasn’t been tested with children yet, so we’re not sure how she’d feel about tiny humans. Chelsea isn’t a big cuddler, but she truly loves being near her people—content to hang out in the same room and soak up your presence. Chelsea does have some hearing loss, but it doesn’t slow her down one bit. She’s potty trained and crate trained, and she’s currently working on polishing her leash manners. With a little patience and consistency, she’ll keep improving. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who enjoys playtime, peaceful togetherness, and snowy adventures, Chelsea might just be your perfect match. She’s ready to bring warmth, companionship, and a whole lot of heart into her next chapter. If you are interested in adopting one of our dogs, the first thing to do is submit an application for approval. All dogs available for adoption are in foster homes. Please do not visit the rescue location as it is a privately run boarding, training & grooming facility. Individual meet and greets are scheduled by appointment only for approved adopters. Age: 10-12 years Adoption Fee: $200

Story
Meet Jameson and Jones, an adorable bonded pair of mini Goldendoodles who are searching for a forever home TOGETHER. These sweet boys were surrendered to the shelter when their owner fell on hard times and they’re now hoping for a fresh start with a family who can welcome them both with open arms—and maybe a comfy couch or two.Jameson and Jones are both 4 years old, with a birthday of September 8, 2021. Jameson is the smaller of the duo at 28 pounds, while Jones weighs in at 36 pounds. According to their previous owner, both boys are housetrained and crate trained, and they’ll need regular professional grooming to keep their curly coats looking dapper and feeling their best. They love children and other dogs. If you have a resident dog, you must schedule a meet and greet with Jameson and Jones. Cat compatibility is unknown. Jameson is playful, incredibly lovable, and full of happy energy. He has an overall medium energy level and enjoys being on the move, especially on walks where he likes to explore everything at once. He may need a little extra help with leash manners, but his enthusiasm and charm make him easy to adore. Jones is very friendly and a bit more independent than his brother. He loves to take his time sniffing out all the good scents on walks and is easy to walk on leash, making him a relaxed and enjoyable walking companion. Jones can protect his food and toys from others, so we are asking for older respectful children. Both boys are available through our foster-to-adopt program, which allows you to welcome them into your home while they complete their veterinary care, including neuter surgery, vaccinations, microchipping, and heartworm testing. If you’re willing to open your home and your heart to both Jameson and Jones, please email dogadoptions@parmashelter.org and submit an online dog adoption application for both boys. The adoption fee for both dogs is $375.
We'll also keep you updated on Jones's adoption status with email updates.

Story
Screech is a 10-month-old Retriever mix bursting with personality and energy! This fun-loving girl is always ready for action and would thrive in an active home that can keep up with her playful spirit. She does best with dogs her size or larger who enjoy rough-and-tumble play, and she would be happiest in a home without small animals. Because of her enthusiasm and puppy exuberance, she’s a great match for families with older children who can handle her bouncy nature. Screech is still learning her manners and has some typical puppy habits—like chewing and occasionally destroying toys (both hers and yours!)—so she’ll benefit from continued training, structure, and plenty of appropriate outlets for her energy. With guidance, exercise, and love, Screech will grow into a loyal, adventurous companion.
