This sweet girl is a 10 week old female Golden Retriever (Half English Cream / Half Light Golden). She is incredibly smart, well-socialized for her age, and comes from both of her parents have full OFA clearances (Hips, Elbows, Heart, Eyes, Patella) and are fully genetically cleared, ensuring she has the best possible start in life. We are assisting a friend in finding her a forever home due to a sudden, serious heart health emergency in the family that occurred just 3 days after they brought home Mischa. I contacted the breeder first, but they will not refund any portion. Because of this crisis, she has not yet had her first local veterinary exam or her 12-week boosters. She was fully up-to-date on all vaccinations and deworming through her breeder up until the day she came home (8 weeks). Included: She will come with all her breeder paperwork, health clearances for her parents, and any supplies we have on hand (collar, food, etc.). Location: Central Ohio / Marion area.

🐾✨ Meet Timber — The Sweetest Soul You’ll Ever Meet! ✨🐾 Timber is an approximately 3-year-old male Golden Retriever mix, and we were told he is a Golden Retriever / Great Pyrenees mix — which explains his handsome looks and his big, loving personality. This big lovable guy weighs about 78 pounds and is full of nothing but sweetness. 💛 Timber came to us from a shelter in Kentucky where he sadly spent over a year waiting for someone to choose him. A whole year went by and this sweet boy never found a home. The shelter was very full, so we stepped in to help by bringing Timber into our rescue to give him the second chance he truly deserved — and we are so incredibly glad we did. From the moment he arrived, Timber showed us what a wonderful, gentle boy he is. He has such a loving personality and just wants to be close to his people. If you’re standing nearby, Timber will quietly sit next to you and lean his whole body against you like he’s giving you the sweetest hug. It’s his special way of saying, “I love you.” 🥹🐾 Timber gets along great with other dogs, is good with people and kids, and has been a joy to have around. He is potty trained and does pretty well on a leash. He can pull a little when he gets excited, but he’s already improving and just needs someone willing to keep working with him. Because Timber is a bigger, active boy and can jump, he must either be kept on a leash or have a securely fenced yard. If the home has a fenced yard, it will need to be a 6-foot fence, as he can clear smaller fences. Timber is up to date on all of his vaccinations and is scheduled to be neutered and microchipped at Auglaize Animal Hospital in Wapakoneta, which will be fully covered by the rescue. After spending so long in a shelter, Timber deserves a family who will finally show him what it means to be loved, safe, and home forever. He has so much love to give and will make an incredibly loyal companion. Meet Jax - a 3 to 5-year-old little yellow lab weighing less than 50 lbs. Jax has beaten the odds of transitioning from an outdoor living semi-feral dog to a house dog who's thriving under human love and dog companionship. Jax came to RICO as one of many dogs dumped by a breeder in a field in Jackson Co. He wouldn't allow a human within 20' of him and urinated in fear if anyone approached him. He had obviously lived a life of neglect and abuse. Jax had no idea how to climb steps, which side doors opened from, how to eat from a bowl and so much more. Fast forward to today - Jax follows his foster mother everywhere. He loves to go on car rides. He will allow a collar and leash on him but has yet to 'love' leash walking but he tolerates this. He's obsessed with dog beds and dog toys. He willingly walks into the vet office and trainers building whereas a month ago he had to be crated and the crate carried into that space. What's most important for Jax in finding his forever home is another dog who is playful and confident. Jax has learned best by watching his foster brother live a 'dog life.' Jax will need a fenced in backyard and a patient owner as everything will be new, again, to him. Jax is not crate trained but will need a safe space such as a laundry room in his new home. Jax is a happy dog, his tail is always wagging, he's always up for a good wrestle with his foster brother and loves to end the day with snuggles and tummy rubs from his foster mother.Apply to meet him at ricopetrecovery.org.
