He is the sweetest, most loving, best-natured dog we have met since losing our own beloved golden. Luke adores children, loves being part of a family, and truly just wants to be close to his people. Whether it is relaxing beside you on the couch, following you through the house, or quietly soaking up affection, Luke’s happiest moments are simply being loved. Luke gets along beautifully with other dogs and even cats. His calm and easygoing personality makes him the kind of companion that brings peace into a home instead of chaos. This handsome boy does come with some medical needs. Luke recently underwent ACL surgery and also has arthritis in his knees. While he still enjoys life and can even manage a few stairs, he deserves a soft landing place where comfort, patience, and love are waiting for him. Because we love Luke so deeply, we understand potential adopters may worry about ongoing medical costs. For the right family, Justice for Samson Animal Rescue is willing to keep Luke under rescue care and continue assisting with his medical needs so he can finally have the forever home he deserves without finances standing in the way. Holden is a very affectionate dog who enjoys being close to his people and is usually happy to lounge nearby, chew on his toys, and soak up attention.He is fully house trained, sleeps through the night, loves car rides car, knows commands, and has graduated from a basic obedience course, he learns new commands well. He's also very good at problem solving.He enjoys long walks and outdoor time when prompted, but is generally medium-low energy and settles easily indoors. He just really likes doing whatever the people are doing. He is obsessed with all things water. His favorite thing in the world is simply being near his people and getting lots of love. He will thrive in a home that can give him structure, companionship, and plenty of affection. He does fine off leash with good recall, not a runner.
