Best of both worlds! All the lovey-dovey of a Golden, with the protective/guard nature of an Anatolian. He has a "love meter" which needs to be filled, and he will express some passive aggressive vocalization if it's running low. However, once satisfied, he prefers lounging independently outside or in areas where he can survey. Intelligent, knows all basic commands, loose leash trained, good off leash recall, good alone indoors 8hrs. Enjoys long hikes, great with road trips, and loves everything related to water. He sleeps indoors. Land preferred, but he would do well with a small yard as long as he gets exercise. He's 21months. Does well in dog parks. Neutering optional IMO.The protective nature comes out with new dogs and new adults, where a visible switch goes from Golden to Anatolian, not aggressive but does need an experienced owner to read his well telegraphed body language and control the introductions. Once he knows you approved the new thing, he'll go back into "Golden Mode."
