*Willow is in the process of being adopted!*Introducing our adorable Doodle, Willow! Believe it or not, this sweet gal was found laying on a highway, and all she wants now is a loving home to call her own. When Willow came into our care, she was (understandably) quite fearful, but her friendly, happy nature didn`t stay hidden for very long! Whether you are a frequent visitor or a new face, Willow`s tail is bound to wag and pets will be demanded! She enjoys pets all over her body, but face scratches are a favourite. Willow also prioritizes comfort - no wonder! - and requires cozy spots for naps, rests or snuggles, even if it`s just a blanket on the floor. She can still be nervous of new, unfamiliar things and environments, so letting her adjust to your home at her own pace will be important. Another thing adopters should be prepared for with Willow is regular grooming! She looked a bit `mop-like` and was matted when she first arrived, and if she is not getting regular brushes and trims, her hair will just grow and grow and grow! We`re not sure how she will do with baths and she may need some patience and positive desensitization. Willow has also shown a little bit of resource guarding behaviour around her food, so mealtimes are her alone time. We don`t know how she would do with dogs, cats or kids, but we recommend slow introductions and carefully supervised interactions to set everyone up for success! Despite everything she has been through, Willow has been the loveliest shelter guest, and we know she will be the perfect addition to someone`s family!
