He cannot be crated for more than 3-4 hours at a time until he’s older. Puppy-proofing your home will be necessary. Puppies scratch and nip, so if you have small children, can they handle this? Training will be so important in this puppy’s life. Do you have the time? Adoption donations cover pre-adoption vet costs (including vaccinations, spay/neuter, heart worm test if applicable) microchip, worming and flea/tick/heart worm (if applicable) preventatives. I adopted Dexter about six months ago from this site. His owner was having health issues. I have other dogs which he is fine with. He is strong and I cannot walk him because he pulls. He is food, aggressive. And needs to be fed away from other animals. He is very sweet and playful, but is too big for me. I would like to find him a home where he can get exercise and playtime.
