Meet Archie!
Breed: Doodle/Oodle MixGender: MaleAge: YoungSize: Large ([WEIGHT])Good with: Other dogs, especially confident friends
Archie is a little timid and draws a lot of confidence from the female he was found with, Edith. This sweet doodle boy looks to his friends for reassurance that the world is safe and good—he's not quite ready to navigate it solo just yet. But here's the beautiful part: when Archie is comfortable, he's sweet and cuddly, showing his true gentle nature once he feels secure.
Archie is super smart! He picks up on things quickly and has that classic doodle intelligence, which means he'll thrive with positive reinforcement training and mental stimulation. His brain is ready to learn—he just needs the confidence to show what he knows. With the right support system, Archie has the potential to absolutely shine.
He gets along well with other dogs and really needs a confident friend to play with and give him the confidence he needs to be his best boy self. Think of it like having a mentor—a dog who can show Archie the ropes, model brave behavior, and help him realize that new experiences aren't scary, they're just new. A confident canine companion would be absolutely ideal for helping Archie come out of his shell.
Archie would thrive in a home with another dog who can be his courage coach and help him discover how amazing he truly is. If you've got a confident pup at home and room in your heart for a large, smart, sweet boy who just needs a little help believing in himself, Archie is ready to grow into his best life with you!

Disclaimer: The information in this profile reflects observations made while this dog has been in our shelter environment. We strive to describe each dog as accurately as possible; however, behavior and needs may change once the dog is in a new home, routine, or environment. Our dogs are not freeroaming in homes. When we note that a dog is "potty trained," this refers to reliable crate training, not confirmed freeroam house training. Accidents may occur during the transition to a new home, and additional training should be expected. All dogs are examined by our veterinarian, are spayed or neutered if old enough, and are up to date on ageappropriate vaccinations at the time of adoption. We share all known medical information, but we cannot guarantee future health or rule out underlying conditions.
ALL adoptions require a completed application, vet check, and final contract. The application to adopt can be found at www.happyfacespetranch.org
Once your application has been approved, a representative will be in touch to set up a meet and greet. We select the best applicant for each dog based on the dog's individual needs.
