Story
Jinkies! It's Paisley! This sweet girl is a 1 year old Great Dane weighing 90 lbs. She is a ginormous lap dog, who loves being with her humans, loves toys, playing fetch, and playing with other dogs of any size. However, she needs a feline-free home. Paisley has got it all. She is house and crate trained. She's a pro at sleeping in her crate, on a dog bed, or wherever she wants all over the house.  She loves everyone she comes into contact with, both big and small. When playtime is over, she’s happy to snuggle up on the couch or bed with you or alone.     Paisley really does get along with everyone as far as we know her. She's great with dogs and great with kids - she will be gentle with them, but she's a big girl and she could still accidentally knock a tiny tot over, and be so sorry about it!  Paisley is described by her foster family as the most gorgeous, gentle giant. She is friendly, outgoing, confident, adaptable, and happy.    With an extra large Dane like this, exercise is crucial. Her needs will be spending time outside in a yard, frequent/long walks, playing with toys, and playing with other dogs.  Due to her full-grown size, and volume of her bark, it would be best if she didn't live in an apartments or a home with shared walls to others.     Can you give Paisley a life of adventure, mystery and love? Her minimum adoption fee is $400 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents. She has been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.  She has been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives. Story
He is a good dog. Not aggressive, he is affectionate. About 9 months old, and we are unable to train him. We have tried different methods, researched different foods, etc. He cannot be out of the kennel unsupervised. He has accidents often regardless of how often he is let out. He needs a home where either someone is home the majority of the day, or that has an outdoor run. We just want him to go to a loving home that has the time to work with him that our work schedule will not allow. We cannot afford professional training and have spent months trying ourselves. I think he would thrive with someone who works from home or is retired. I would recommend a home with no small children due to his size.

Story
This pretty boy is Moose, a 3 year old Great Dane. He is said to be a mix between a chocolate and a silver Dane. Moose has been with his foster mom and dad since July of 2023 and has a very long road ahead of him. He arrived at the foster home with a broken and lacerated tail, from what is commonly known as “Happy Tail”. Moose would get so happy at times that while wagging his tail, he would hit it on surrounding objects so hard it was causing breaks. Shortly after, his tail was amputated and he is much better now and able to show his happiness without it hurting. While Moose did great at first when introduced to the other dog in the home, he began showing signs of reactivity towards “new” dogs during walks and time at the park shortly after. Because of this, Moose has been and is still currently participating in bi-weekly training with a professional dog trainer to work on these reactive behaviors. Moose still has a long way to go in his steps toward dog-neutrality, but has already made great strides of improvement. When being left unattended, Moose must be kenneled or in a secure location due to separation anxiety. He is kennel trained and sleeps throughout the night and stays in his kennel while his foster parents are at work without any problems. Moose is entirely potty trained and knows how to use a doggy door. Moose enjoys spending time outside with his foster family in their fenced back yard, playing ball and he is also happy to snuggle up on the couch on a rainy day. He really does love nothing more than just lying on the couch with his people. He loves going on walks in quiet, non-dog populated areas and can be easily entertained with his Kong and some peanut butter. Moose will need a home with no other dogs, and someone who does not plan to introduce other dogs into the home. While he has never shown any aggression toward people or children, it is best that there be no small children in the home because of his size (105#) and the possibility of knocking them over. Moose’s foster mom would love for potential adopters to join them during one of his training classes in Springfield, IL to see Moose’s improvements in action. Moose's $300 adoption fee includes his neuter, tail amputation, vaccines, heartworm test and prevention, flea/tick prevention, and microchip registration. Story
Meet Tamera, the sweetest cutie pie you'll ever come across! Rescued and nursed back to health, this 2-year-old Anatolian Shepherd mix has stolen our hearts and is now ready to steal yours! She's about 60 pounds, but she still needs to gain a little more weight - a healthy weight for her might be around 70 pounds.  Despite her past, Tamera's heart is full of love and affection, especially for kids - they're her absolute favorite! Fully potty trained and a pro on the leash, she's eager for belly rubs and human companionship. While she's not too keen on toys, she thrives on being around people and gets along famously with other dogs. Just be prepared for her adorable barky greetings! She's looking for a home without shared walls since she likes to communicate with her people. With her gentle demeanor and loving nature, Tamera is searching for a forever home where she can shower her new family with endless love and affection. Could it be with you?  Her minimum adoption fee is $295 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents. She has been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.
