Story
Welcome Regan to 4 Paws! Bonus to any spooky movie buffs if you can guess who she is named after ????!This Great Dane was surrendered due to the family not having enough time. She’s a big, beautiful and goofy gal! She is housebroken and crate trained. Regan does well with some dogs but may be best as an only dog (meet and greet with any dogs would be required prior to approval). Regan does well with cats. She will need a home willing and able to provide her the structure, rules and boundaries needed to thrive. Large breed experience encouraged! PLEASE READ:The beginning of our application form states what our adoption service area is, once you apply you will receive an email explaining next steps.

Story
Meet Mia — the Sweetest Cuddlebug! 💖 Mia is a 1.5-year-old Merle Great Dane girl with a gentle spirit and a heart of pure gold. At about 120 lbs, she’s on the smaller side for a Dane — and every ounce of her is pure sweetness. She’s beautifully soft-natured, endlessly kind, and happiest when she’s leaning in for a cuddle. This gorgeous girl bonds deeply and loves being close to her people — she’ll even sleep soundly through the night curled up next to you. Mia is being fostered in the city and so far, it's not been her vibe. Mia thrives in calmer, quieter environments where she can relax and feel secure. She’s still learning about the world, and because her exposure to other dogs has been limited, she does best with slow, gentle introductions to both people and animals. She has shown she’s more comfortable with bigger dogs than little ones, and with patience and reassurance, she warms up beautifully. Mia responds wonderfully to gentle corrections and is very treat-motivated (all treats are great treats, as far as she’s concerned!), which makes training easy and fun. If you’re looking for a sweet, snuggly, slightly-smaller Dane with a tender soul and a big heart, Mia might just be your perfect match. Story
Bruno is a 4 year old black neutered male with natural ears. He is a big guy and a bigger baby. Bruno was given up with his brother when a child in the home became allergic to them. Bruno needs time to acclimate to new people and new dogs but once he does he's a total mush. He is definitely a velcro Dane and will follow you everywhere, if you let him he will crawl up to lay on top of you, all 165 lbs of him. He has a hard time maneuvering in small places so he will back up as he cannot turn around easily. Bruno walks beautifully on a leash, is house trained and rides well in the car. He was afraid of his Dane foster sister at first and would bark and growl if she came close, but within a few hours they were absolutely fine together. They look like twins, she's his mirror image. Bruno will do best in a home that will continue to work on building his confidence and who will give him all the love and affection he seeks and deserves. Bruno came to MAGDRL in November 2025. Bruno is doing great in his foster home. It took him a while to settle in and really get comfortable, he is a classic example of the 3/3/3 rule. He loves his foster Dane sister and attached pretty quickly to his foster mom. He walks well on a leash and is trustworthy in the house. He loves nothing better than to be with his person, and even better if he is touching or lying in their lap. Bruno is a total love bug and is waiting for his forever home, please consider Bruno if you want that velcro Dane who will adore you and be the be the best faithful loyal companion you could ask for. Story
Fern is a 6 year old blue female with natural ears who came in from a shelter after being retrieved from a hoarder. She was in rough shape when she got to the shelter but they did a great job of getting her vetted and putting some weight on her. She is learning to be house trained in her foster home. She is crate trained. She walks well on a leash and loves her walks. Fern does have some wounds on two of her feet that are still healing and will take some time to heal. She is not available yet for adoption as we need to see these wounds close up more before she can go on to a forever home. Fern also has scar tissue on her muzzle, it looks like she has a black mask but there is no fur and it will probably never grow back. It doesn’t take away from what a pretty girl she is. Fern was extremely fearful when she first came in to rescue, but with love and care she is slowly learning to trust her foster family. We can’t wait to see her blossom into the beautiful and loving companion she was meant to be. Fern has had unexpected medical issues since coming into rescue, aside from healing her two severe wounds in her front and rear leg, she has a mast cell tumor that will need to be removed and needs additional diagnostic testing before surgery because of weight loss, lethargy, diarrhea and vomiting. Fern needs every chance at getting healthy so she can become adoptable, in her current health, she is not. Please help us help Fern. Please include your home area code and a phone number where a volunteer can reach you when contacting us about an adoption.
