Story

Meet Ruthie! 🐾 Ruthie is a young adult Great Dane mix who is sure to steal your heart. If you’re looking for a large dog with a sweet personality, Ruthie may be your girl! She’s treat-motivated and eager to learn. She’s currently working on her basic commands, including sit, and is making great progress. When she’s not showing off her smarts, Ruthie loves chasing a ball or playing with a rope toy. This big girl has a lot of love to give and would love to find a family of her own! The shelter is open Tuesday through Friday from 3:30 PM to 6:30 PM, and on Saturday and Sunday from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. A meet-and-greet is required for all shelter dogs if you already have a dog. Thank you for considering the adoption of a shelter animal in need!

Story

Hi, I’m Maddie! 🎀 My full name is Madelyn, but Maddie is much easier to yell when I’m in the middle of one of my Great Dane zoomie sessions. 💨 I’m a young Great Dane girl with a wonderfully sweet personality and the perfect mix of playful and laid back. I definitely have my moments when I suddenly decide the living room is a racetrack and my legs have somewhere VERY important to be. My foster mom says watching me run my zoomies makes her heart want to explode. 🥹 But once I’ve gotten my sillies out, I’m perfectly happy to settle down next to my people and relax. 😌 I’d describe myself as low to medium energy. I enjoy playtime and activity, but I don’t need to be entertained every second of the day. Sometimes being near my humans is all the entertainment I need. 😊 And then there are my woo woos. ❤️ Ohhhh, my woo woos. I have the cutest little Great Dane sounds when I have something to say. I’m not exactly sure what I’m saying, but I’m pretty sure it’s important. My foster family seems to think they’re adorable, so naturally, I plan to keep using them. 😉 I also do really well in a busy household. I live in a home with lots of other dogs, and even though we aren’t all physically together, I can hear everyone moving around and doing their dog things. All that activity doesn’t bother me. I’m potty trained, too! 🙌 I’ve been around neighborhood kids and did well with them. I’d love a family that understands I’m still young and will continue helping me learn and grow. I think having another doggy friend in my forever home could be really fun. 🐾 I enjoy canine company and would love someone to share my occasional zoomie emergencies with. 💨 My foster family is actually new to Great Danes, but they’ve had many different breeds over the years and understand dogs really well. And I think they’ve figured me out pretty quickly. I’m a big girl with a soft heart. ♥️ I’m playful without being nonstop. I’m affectionate without being overwhelming. I’m comfortable in a busy home. I can relax when my people are gone. I’m potty trained. I make ridiculously cute woo woos. And every once in a while, I completely forget that I’m supposed to be an elegant Great Dane and turn into a giant goofy puppy. 🙃 So if you’re looking for a sweet, silly, easygoing Great Dane who will make you laugh, keep you company, and occasionally turn your backyard into the Indy 500… Hi. I’m Maddie. Madelyn if you’re using my government name. 😉 And I’m ready to find my forever family. ❤️ https://www.realrottweilerrescue.com/dogs/maddie-3mpl

Could you be my forever family? 🥰 ## ✅ My Must-Haves - ❤️ A loving family committed to me for life. - 🎓 Continued training, guidance, and consistency as I grow. - 🐾 A home that provides playtime, exercise, and companionship. - 🏡 A family that understands life with a large-breed dog. - 🥰 People who enjoy affection, goofy moments, and my adorable woo woos. - 🐕 Another compatible dog would be a bonus since I enjoy canine company. ## ❌ My Must-Nots - ❌ A family that doesn't have the space or resources for a Great Dane. - ❌ An owner unwilling to continue my training and development. - ❌ A home where I’m expected to be constantly active or entertained. - ❌ A family that cannot provide companionship, attention, and appropriate exercise. ## ❤️ Ready to Make Me Part of Your Family?
