Champ is a big sweetheart. He has been with HOT-PAWS since 2021. He was part of our No Dog Left Behind program as he arrived Heartworm positive, but was negative at last test. His last Pro-Heart 12 was in August 2024. This boy currently is housed with a female dog and they get along well. He seems good with most other dogs. He has been around older kids and would probably enjoy smaller ones, but may knock smaller ones over. He is not good with cats. Champ loves to play and walks well on a leash. He crates okay, but is not fond of being cooped up. He prefers a bit of running room if possible. and loves attention from his person. Champ requires a secure fence, and can be prone to digging at times, mainly to make a nest for himself to lay in and not to escape.

Size
(when grown) X-Large 101 lbs (46 kg) or more

Good with kids, Good with dogs, Good with cats, Needs experienced adopter, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Ember is a very good girl, we are sadly having to rehome her because she is too dominant for our other Great Dane and it has lead to fights where he has gotten hurt. She would do best in a home with medium-small sized less dominant dogs. She’s extremely people friendly, walks amazing on leash. Is off leash trained, is obedience trained and is crate trained. She adores kids and is great with cats. Shes generally quiet but can bark when strangers approach the door.

Story
Tipper is a big girl who can be shy at first, but is gentle and affectionate once she gets to know you. She is an owner surrender due to owner health. She is good with other dogs, but not so much with cats. With other dogs she is playful, but may occasionally bully smaller dogs a bit. It seems like she thinks it is her job to keep them in their place. She has done okay around older kids, but has not been around smaller ones. She would likely do okay with slow and proper introductions. She rides okay in the car once in, but is not fond of getting in. She is learning to walk on a leash and does okay. She stays well in a secure fence. She has not been crated, as owner doesn't have one that big, but would likely do okay. She enjoys petting and treats and would love a home with at least one other larger dogs to play with.
