Story
Meet Strudel! Strudel is a 3-year-old Greyhound mix with a sleek black and brindle coat and a heart as big as his long legs! This gentle and affectionate boy is looking for a committed home that understands his need for security and companionship.Strudel is sweet, friendly, and well-mannered indoors, but he has a strong urge to explore and can jump fences—including six-foot chain link and privacy fences. He also can squeeze out of the smallest space. Because of this, he is a flight risk, and he must always be leash-walked or supervised when outside. He is excellent with other dogs of all sizes, and is adapting to the cats in his home. He thinks about chasing outside but will listen to correction. He is good with children and lives with a seven and eight-year-old.His ideal home would be one with a committed adopter who will always leash-walk him. A secure home where he will always be supervised so he does not escape. He loves adventures, but that has caused Strudel to end up in shelters and bouncing around due to his fence-jumping abilities. But he is truly a wonderful, loving dog who just needs the right setup to thrive. If you are a family or individual looking for a loyal and affectionate companion, Strudel could be yours.Name: StrudelBreed: Greyhound/CrossbreedSex: MaleAge: 3 years  (estimated)Weight: 70lbsSpayed/Neutered: NoVaccinations: Up to dateHeartworm: Negative on recent testingMicrochipped: YesBASED ON OUR OBSERVATIONS: Good with Children: Over 5Good with Dogs: YesGood with Cats: Yes with dog savvy catsAdoption Fee: $550.00  (includes transport fee when applicable)Location of dog currently:  Arkansas IMPORTANT INFORMATION - Paws New England is a foster-based rescue; our dogs reside in various locations throughout the south & New England.  Adoption donations cover pre-adoption vet costs (including vaccinations, spay/neuter when age appropriate, and heartworm testing/treatment when necessary), a microchip, and transportation to New England if necessary.Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher. Story
Shay (also known as Shady or Slim Shady) is an affectionate 4.5 year old boy who loves hanging out with people. He has become a proficient lounger, equally happy chilling in his crate (where he still likes to take his meals) a dog bed, or even the floor. He loves going for a walk and being outside. He will stop and stare at squirrels and rabbits but doesn’t give chase. You just have to encourage him to move on. He’s very chill around other dogs - whether big or small. Fine to leave him out of the crate and he is very happy when we come home. Shay is not cat workable.

Story
Foster Miriam is an almost 4.5 year old "sweetheart!!!" She is curious and smart with a bit of a silly side. Miriam is also an Expert Roacher and is often found upside down on a bed!!! She hasn’t had much interaction with small dogs up close but hasn’t reacted to beagle sized dogs on walks. Still learning some boundaries and will jump up on counters and tables out of curiosity not food motivation and will also hop up on the warm spot on the sofa you just left - redirects easily! (Fosters are not supposed to be on furniture...) Miriam loves to play with toys and will be taking her favorite carrot toy to her forever home!

Armani is a sweet, quiet 7 year old male from Australia who loves to relax. He will greet you enthusiastically at the door and then go back to relaxing. Armani loves to sniff around in the yard but does not show much interest in the bunnies at his foster home. He does stairs and is doing better on his leash walking. Squeaky toys are his favorite and he gets along with the other Greys and elderly Beagle in his foster home. He would make an excellent companion for a quiet household. Armani does not seem to be cat workable.

Story
Bluey is an energetic, curious 6-1/2 year old blue (grey) male from Australia. He loves people and his favorite activity is going on walks so he can see what's going on outside and look for squirrels and bunnies. He has a high prey drive and is not cat workable. Bluey would love an active home where he gets plenty of walks and stimulation. He does settle down fine in the crate and is a good eater. He is also a fan of squeaky toys.
