Story
Meet Ernest, a handsome 4 year old retired racing greyhound from Australia. With his distinctive roman nose and sleek fawn coat, Ernest is an absolutely stunning boy. While he is calm and gently by nature, he also has a wonderfully goofy, and fun-loving side that makes him a joy to be around. Ernest is incredibly people oriented and loves soaking up attention wherever he can. Whether he's leaning in for affection, or simply enjoying your company, he's happiest when he's close to his people. His easy-going temperament and affectionate personally make him a wonderful companion. He has excellent leash manners and enjoys leisurely walks, taking in sights and smells. Ernest also gets along well with other greyhounds and would do well either as an only dog or in a home with another compatible greyhound. While his interactions with other breeds have been mixed, we feel he would benefit from connoted positive exposure to non-greyhounds to improve his dog to dog socialization skills. Ernest loves to play, and he has discovered a love for splashing around in his kiddie pool. He has also become quite fond of giant stuffed toys, happily tossing them around during playtime. When greeting people, Ernest may occasionally jump up to offer an enthusiastic "hug", but his excitement is always friendly and affectionate. Ernest would thrive in a moderately active hime that can provide him consistent routine, enrichment, and plenty of love. With the right guidance and environment, he will blossom into a relaxed, loyal, and affectionate companion. * Fast Friends adopts in the New England area. Story
Sooky is a spunky 3 year old retired racing greyhound from Australia. This pint sized girl weighs just under 60 pounds and is sure to turn heads wherever she goes. With her shiny black coat, big soulful eyes, and goofy ears, Sooky leaves a lasting impression with everyone she meets. Sooky is a very outgoing, friendly, and gentle girl. She loves meeting new people, and happily leans in for pets. As she is still on the younger side, she has plenty of playful bursts of energy. She enjoys zooming around and a good play session before settling down for a nice nap. She also adores her daily walks, where she can enjoy the sunshine and good smells along the way. She loves the company of other dogs and has had plenty of positive interactions in the past. We believe she would do well as an only dog or with another medium to large dog that's similar in size to Sooky. Overall, Sooky would do best in a moderately active home that can provide her with regular exercise, mental enrichment, and most importantly, plenty of love and companionship. With her lively spirit, gentle heart, and affectionate nature, she is so easy to fall in love with and would make a wonderful addition to almost any family. * Fast Friends adopts in the New England area.
