Story
Busy is a 4-month-old black and white greyhound mix and she is proof that some of the toughest fighters come in the smallest packages. Busy nearly lost her life to parvo and a serious hookworm infection — but she battled through it all and came out the other side. She's a true little champion. Right now, Busy is still finding her confidence. She's a bit shy and is learning what it means to be part of a family, but she's already showing us who she is: a gentle, loving soul who adores other dogs and is remarkably sweet and patient with children. We're working with her on leash manners and housetraining, and she's making progress every day. Busy would do best in a home that already has a dog to help show her the ropes, along with a securely fenced yard where she can romp, explore, and build her confidence safely. We won't sugarcoat it — Busy is a work in progress. She's a project for the right person who wants to be part of her story. But for everything she still needs to learn, she gives back tenfold in tail wags, sweet kisses, and the joy of watching a scared puppy become a happy, secure dog. Busy fought to be here. Now she just needs someone to fight for her too. Interested in meeting Busy? Please apply at Freedom-ride.org

Story
Harris is 3 years old and 45 pounds. He is fully house trained and does not require a crate. He is fine on a leash, but is very shy in public, so he would need plenty of time to get used to walking in public. He is shy when meeting new people, but once he warms up to you, he is so sweet and loving. Totally worth the extra time needed. He loves other dogs, especially playing tug of war with the other dogs. He is great with kids and will make a great family dog. He will need a fenced yard as he will take a while to get used to walking on a leash due to his fear. Give this pup some time, and he will make such a perfect addition to your family. Apply to adopt, foster, volunteer, or donate to our nonprofit at www.lovemuttsrescue.org
