Story
THIS DOG IS NOT WITH SPOTTY DOG RESCUE. WE ARE POSTING HER AS A COURTESY TO ASSIST HER FAMILY IN FINDING A NEW HOME. If you are interested in meeting her, please contact Paul at 860-985-0178 or paulribeiro1219@gmail.com   Meet Neptune! She is a four year old Beagle mix who is healthy, happy, spayed and up to date on all vaccines. This girl loves being outside, going for walks in the woods, chasing a ball, jumping in the leaves, sliding on the snow or laying in the warm sun. Neptune has participated in basic obedience training and is good on the leash and loves car rides.  She is fully housebroken and does not chew on household items at all.  She typically is a calm girl who loves to sleep on her bed and enjoy the day.  Neptune does best in a home with routines and structure. She is very cautious around strangers and is protective of her people and her home. Because of that she should be in a home without other animals or children.  She is a loveable pup that can be silly, loves her belly rubbed and having her fur brushed. Scratching her ears and under her chin are her favorite spots. She would be the perfect companion for someone who just wants that dog who is ready to move in and be your best friend! Please contact Paul if you would like to meet her. ##2591143##

Story
Meet Louie — also known as “Fat Louie” or “Bubba Dog” He is courtesty post and is not under Spotty Dog Rescue's care currently, we are assisting Meredith with finding him a new home.  Please contact Meredith merleiso34@gmail.com or  860-682-3735 for more information if you can help. Some dogs come into your life quietly and slowly steal your whole heart. Louie is one of those dogs. His current human took him in about 2 years ago and he is part of the family. Now her landlord is selling the building and the new owner says all pets must go. She cannot afford to move, so she had to make the heartbreaking decision to find Louie a new home. IT IS WRONG! She has tried to negotiate, and failed. Louie needs a savior and we are hoping to help him find it. At about 10 years old and 50 pounds of pure lovable tank, Louie has mastered the art of being the perfect companion. He’s the kind of dog who just wants to be near his people, curled up next to you, tucked under the blankets, or riding shotgun on your next car ride adventure. Louie is also a social butterfly. He absolutely loves the dog park, enjoys meeting new dogs, and is wonderful with children. He’s even fine with cats! If your home already has furry or tiny humans, Louie is more than happy to join the family. Louie is a bit of a foodie… actually, let’s be honest — he’s a BIG foodie. Louie currently enjoys home-cooked meals of ground turkey, mixed veggies, and a little sweet potato or rice. (Yes, he probably eats better than most of us!) He’ll happily snack on bananas, carrots, and blueberries, but fair warning, Louie is clever and sneaky when it comes to unattended plates. If there’s food around, Bubba Dog will try to negotiate a taste! He came to his current home already trained with a beeper collar and has done wonderfully with it. He’s a smart boy who understands his boundaries and has never had an issue using it. What makes Louie extra special however is his personality. He is incredibly funny, affectionate and loves to cuddle. One of his most adorable habits is standing up on his hind legs when you sing to him or when he’s hoping for a treat. It’s impossible not to smile — and even harder not to give him what he wants. Like many senior dogs, Louie has a couple small quirks. He can be a bit of a whiner when he’s hoping for food. He also does not love his nails being cut, but the right person with some confidence can get the job done. But what Louie gives in return is priceless:loyalty, warmth, laughter, and the comfort of a dog who truly just wants to love and be loved. Louie is entering his golden years, and what he needs most now is a home where he can relax, be spoiled, and spend his days doing what he loves best — cuddling, snacking, and being part of a family. If you’re looking for a gentle, funny, affectionate companion who will make your house feel warmer the moment he walks in, Louie may be your perfect match. Give this sweet “Bubba Dog” the soft landing he deserves. Please contact Meredith merleiso34@gmail.com or  860-682-3735 ##2681211##
