You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Chuck is a 4 1/2 year old beagle who came to the shelter as an owner surrender. He's a pretty easygoing and affectionate guy who does have one big problem. He's very overweight. Food is definitely a big weakness for him. Chuck has been fully vetted but we are going to have him checked out just to make sure that there's no medical reason for his obesity. His adoption fee is $150. We would like to find Chuck a home that has some beagle experience. They are not a dog for everyone. They can be somewhat stubborn and tend to be ruled by their keen sense of smell. Chuck did live with older kids and has done well with other dogs. He has had a little bit of basic training but could always benefit from some more. Chuck has had no exposure to cats. NOTE:  Adoptions are done via private appointment once an application has been completed and approved. Applications must be submitted at our website, mchs.rescuegroups.org. Keep an eye on your emails if you apply. We are located at 101 22nd St. SE in Austin, right next to the airport. It's exit 180B off of I-90, right off of 218 South. We do require that potential adopters be at least 21 years old and that any resident dogs be up to date on vaccinations, heartworm testing/preventative, and spayed or neutered.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.May 6, 2024, 1:55 pm
