Purebred Basset Hound – Sweet, Family-Friendly Dog Looking for the Right Home ❤️ Meet Ruby! She is a 4-year-old purebred Basset Hound with a very sweet, loving personality. Ruby is great with kids, gets along well with other dogs, and is also good with cats—making her a wonderful fit for a family home. About Ruby: 4 years old Purebred Basset Hound Very friendly and affectionate Great with kids Good with other dogs Good with cats Important to Know: Ruby has been an outside dog, so we are unsure if she is housebroken. She may need patience and training if transitioning to indoor living. She does not stay contained by an electric fence and will roam if given the opportunity. Because of this, she needs a home where she is indoors or closely supervised, or has a secure physical fence. Ruby also has a strong prey drive and cannot be in a home with chickens or small livestock. She loves being around people and would thrive as a companion dog with a family who can give her time and attention.
