Story
Gus Born: August 15, 2025 Fostered in North Bay, ON Adoption Fee: $700 UTD on vaccines To be neutered prior to adoption Beagle/Lab/Shep mix (our best guess) Gus is a sweet, silly, and fun-loving pup with a heart of gold and a playful spirit to match! He loves games like keep-away, tug, and full-on puppy horsing around with his foster sister. He’s happiest when he’s playing, learning, or soaking up time with his people. At Home: Gus is doing really well with his house training and has very minimal accidents. He’s learning his boundaries beautifully with the resident cats and continues to improve every day. He is respectful of the young children. He would thrive in a home with a younger, active dog to match his energy and play style. Mealtime Manners: Gus is very food motivated and uses a slow feeder so he doesn’t inhale his meals. He prefers to eat in his own space without other animals around. He’s respectful of his foster sister’s food and won’t steal — he patiently waits until she walks away! Training & Crate Life: Gus is still learning leash skills and does pull while walking, so continued training will help him shine. He does best in his crate with minimal items, as he tends to destroy puppy pads or towels if they’re present. Since removing them, he’s had no accidents in his crate. He may whine initially, but a food-dispensing toy with small treats has helped make crate time a positive experience. Personality: Gus has an absolutely wonderful personality — affectionate, goofy, and eager to learn. With continued structure, training, and an active companion, he will make an amazing addition to the right home. If you’re looking for a playful, loving pup who’s ready to grow alongside you, Gus might just be your perfect match
