PLEASE READ ALL OF THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION BELOW . IT WILL ANSWER ALL YOUR QUESTIONS. If you still have questions after, we are happy to respond through email. It is a long read and a long adoption process. Please understand we are ensuring that our babies go to great homes and we don't know you personally (yet). Understand that this is an adoption of a beautiful little soul that deserves the absolute best life. SERGEANT DANIEL "HONDO" HARRELSON and his siblings (OFFICER JIM STREET, OFFICER DOMINIQUE LUCA , CAPTAIN JESSICA CORTEZ, and OFFICER CHRIS ALONSO) was found in a lady's back yard in San Jacinto, California. We were working on helping her fix all the ferals and keeping the kittens to socialize them. She ended up catching these guys and we brough them to the rescue. We named them all after the show S.W.A.T Now he's ready for his new home! Meet SERGEANT DANIEL "HONDO" HARRELSON, a kitten with a big personality. Shy at first, he quickly warms up to reveal his goofy and friendly nature. Independent, yet sociable, he's a bundle of contradictions. HONDO's curiosity knows no bounds, and he's always up for exploring new toys or corners. His bravery shines through during playtime, boldly pouncing on unsuspecting toy spring. HONDO's playful energy is infectious, his antics are sure to keep you entertained. He's more than just a funny furball, he's a companion, a playmate, a confidant. Adopt SERGEANT DANIEL "HONDO" HARRELSON and let his vivacious spirit fill your home with laughter and love. SERGEANT DANIEL "HONDO" HARRELSON is DOMESTIC SHORT HAIR / HAVANA MIX. He is about 4 months old and is good with cats. He has never been around young children and seems non-reactive to dogs. Story
Meet Midnight, a delightful 4-year-old neutered male domestic shorthair weighing in at an athletic 13 pounds. Midnight is the life of any party! Whether it's with cats, dogs, or humans — he’s super social, playful, friendly, loving, and a total extrovert (he never misses a chance to charm new people!). We’re not sure if he’s extremely dog-tolerant, or thinks he *is* a dog, but either way, canine companions are more than welcome too! We would love to see Midnight in a home where he can be his person’s shadow — he wants to be wherever you are, and would also love a playful pet companion, but he’s also fine playing on his own with his toys. This social kitty would do well in a house or apartment with older kids who understand boundaries and cues — his play style is all in good fun and never too rough, but might surprise a young child. Not much of a talker, but he is an excellent communicator, especially when it’s treat time, playtime, or dinner time! His favorite toy is a wand with feathers on the end, and he is VERY good at catching it. Midnight is very treat-motivated, and with his canine-like qualities, we wonder if he could be trained to do tricks! Hey, worth a try, and he’d love an excuse to get more treats! This guy is a total character, a cat who’ll be your companion, partner-in-crime, and best friend. If you’d like to see this sweet face greeting you with enthusiasm when you walk in the door at home — contact us today! Story
All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, shots current (DHPP, Bordetella and Rabies where applicable), dewormed, flea and tick treated, and microchipped.  * If you are interested in a dog, please first read the biography on the dog (keep scrolling down for the bio!) and then go to our website, www.dpsrescue.com for an application. Our adoption fees vary. Each biography will specifically list the adoption fee.Amaretto is a 2 year old young lady that one of our volunteers rescued from a precarious life. She was living with her littermates on the street in a high danger zone. We couldn't leave them there, so our volunteer took all of them in to give them a chance at life. Amaretto is a shy girl, it will take her a while to warm up to her humans, but once she does, you have a friend for life. We know she appreciates having been rescued and wants to trust people so badly but it just takes her a little time. She could easily join a home with another cat or cat savvy dog. She is particularly fond of one of her siblings. So if you are interested in adopting a pair, please look at Kahlua's bio as well. They do not need to be adopted together, but if interested in two kitties, they would be a great duo. Because of her initial shyness, we would be open to a foster-to-adopt program with her. If you think she might be the one for you but want to do a trial period to make sure, we can arrange that. She loves her cat tree and soft beds in her foster home. And she is very treat motivated, so that would be a fast track to bonding with her. She just needs a forever person or family to give her a chance. We know her purrfect person will see her post and know she is the one! She has been spayed, tested negative for FIV/FeLV, vaccinated, dewormed, flea treatment applied and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $150.May 20, 2024, 9:33 pm
