Story
Carmela is a sensitive, shy girl who’s still learning to trust the world around her. At 2 years old and 8 pounds, she’s a petite beauty who prefers observing from a safe, quiet spot. Right now, Carmela isn’t comfortable being handled, but with time, patience, and a calm environment, she has the potential to blossom into a loving companion. She’s looking for an adopter who understands shy cats and can give her the space and reassurance she needs to feel secure. If you have a gentle heart and a peaceful home, Carmela may be the perfect match. Carmela is spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $75.00.

Story
Amoeba is a sweet young kitty who was brought in to the shelter as a stray. Her coloring is a beautiful inky “cow kitty” with adorable black toe beans and soft silky fur. She’s about two years old and has a lot of youthful energy. Amoeba loves soft and cozy places to nap, crinkly bags, boxes and toys that her owner controls. Her favorite is some paper scraps tied to a shoelace - she demands sessions with it! She’s skeptical of automated things that move on their own. Amoeba’s got a lot of confidence otherwise and once she’s bonded and comfortable she is vocal, energetic and explores freely. She’d do well in a bigger space indoors with lots of enrichment and attention and could be a good candidate for being indoor/outdoor too. She has had some outdoor time and always comes back to her cozy home base. She doesn’t love being held much but can tolerate it, and prefers to be next to or sometimes on top of her human in bed, but isn’t a lap kitty.
