Story
Adopt Gus & Jaq! These bonded brothers have been through a lot in their short lives, and they’re still two of the sweetest, most loving kittens you’ll ever meet. Gus & Jaq were born with a condition called eyelid agenesis, which means their eyelids didn’t fully develop. Without treatment, every blink could cause pain. Last month, they had a procedure called cryoepilation to freeze the hairs that were irritating their eyes, and they’re healing beautifully. Because of their condition, they’ll need eye drops 2–3 times a day long term. The drops are over-the-counter, easy to give, and they’re total pros about it. Jaq had a more severe case, so he’ll likely need to see the eye doctor once or twice a year just to make sure everything stays healthy. We know most people will scroll past a post about two “special needs” kittens. But what these boys need is simple to manage. What they give back is so much more. They are truly extraordinary. Raised by humans since they were tiny bottle babies, they’re affectionate, playful, and endlessly trusting. They greet every visitor like a long-lost friend, climb into laps without hesitation, and purr like little engines. Gus is the ultimate snuggler. Jaq is the playful goofball who keeps everyone laughing. They also love other cats and dogs, too! If you give them a chance, they’ll bring you so much love. They are neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, flea-treated, and tested negative for FIV/FeLV. The adoption fee is $150 for the pair. Email liberationcathouse@gmail.com for more info.

Story
Delphi and Nyx are still searching for their forever home. These sisters have been through a lot in their short 2 years of life and they are very bonded. Delphi is very outgoing and friendly. She loves to chase foil balls around and is always down for a good brushing. Nyx is a little more shy but also likes getting brushed and physical affection. Both of them have vision impairment but it doesn't slow them down! Nyx's favorite hang out spot is the very top of her 6ft cat tree. Nyx's right eye is mostly covered by scar tissue but she still has limited vision in the top 1/3 of the pupil. They had severe eye infections as tiny kittens which lead to the scaring you see in their eyes now. The condition is not painful and shouldn't cause issues in the future. Delphi is on a prescription gastrointestinal diet to address constipation and occasionally takes miralax (in a pile of churu). They are looking for a quiet home where they can lounge with their human, get snackies, and be co-regents of their castle.
