He’ll happily be draped over your shoulder like a fuzzy scarf, follow you from room to room like your pint-sized bodyguard, and press his whole face into yours like a cat-shaped love letter. His goofy, charming nature is pure gold—but getting to that treasure takes time. Here’s the real talk: Billy has a tough time adjusting to home life. He does great in the shelter where routines are predictable and his space is familiar. But new environments, sounds, or changes? Those send Billy’s nervous system into overdrive. Past adoptions haven’t worked out because he needs a very slow, structured transition—more than most homes are prepared for right away. This almost 4-year-old beauty came to Scruffy Paws as a feral rescue, and while she’s made amazing progress, she’s still searching for that special human who will shower her with patience, love, and plenty of cheek scratches. Ren has been waiting for her forever home for 887+ days—she’s more than ready for a family to call her own! Since arriving at Scruffy, she has truly embraced the company of her feline friends—she’s a cat’s cat through and through. While she prefers kitty companionship over human attention, she’s learning that people aren’t so bad (especially when they come with treats and chin rubs!). A confident, people-friendly cat in the home is a must to help Ren feel safe and continue blossoming. 💛 What Makes Ren One of a Kind? 🐾 A happy drooler—when she purrs, expect some adorable love dribbles! 🐾 Obsessed with water! While he may not know Ryan Reynolds (yet), this dapper black-and-white kitty has a champion’s spirit and a heart of gold. Mullin’s story started in the worst way—a taped-up Pampers box left by a dumpster. But this little survivor and his siblings have gone from discarded to adored at Scruffy Paws.
