Story
We originally got Garfield from pet smart one day while we were there because we wanted to get another cat for our cat we had at home. Garfield’s old name was Pyra, and that’s the name on his vaccination records sheet, but we changed his name once we got him. As of right now Garfield is 5 months old and we’ve had him for almost a month. Garfield is a super lovey kitty and he loves to play and definitely loves to climb and he’s energetic but will also cuddle with you on the couch. Garfield will need a home with someone or a family who loves cats and preferably has another cat that matches his personality so he has someone to play with. The only reason we’re looking for a new loving home for Garfield is because the kitten we already have just doesn’t get along with him the best, and we think Garfield would do better in a new home.

Story
Lightning is a striking, one-year-old heart-stealer with endless personality packed into his sleek, handsome frame. Rescued back in October as a houseless kitty, this gorgeous boy has come such a long way and he’s ready to find a home that can keep up with his spark!  Lightning is sweet, goofy, and full of energy. He has a truly beautiful face with a unique elongated nose and expressive features that make him impossible to ignore. He absolutely lives for attention and affection this is a cat who believes petting is a full-time job. If you stop before he says it’s time, you might get a playful little “smack” as a reminder to keep going (no biting, just sass ). He can be a little spicy and confidently runs the show, but it’s all part of his charm. Lightning used to hiss when he first arrived, as he was scared and decompressing from life on the streets—but the progress he’s made is incredible. Now, all he wants is love, cuddles, and to be right by your side. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will happily be your shadow, Lightning is your guy. Lightning does have a fear of cat carriers due to trauma from the live trap used during his rescue. While getting into a carrier can be stressful for him, he does completely fine once he’s inside. He’s very comfortable in a large dog crate when unsupervised and settles in well.He gets along beautifully with two of his friendly foster kitty brothers and enjoys feline companionship. He hasn’t met dogs yet, but introductions can absolutely be done if needed!   Finders Keepers Cat Rescue is a foster home-based rescue in Clarksville, TN, and our cats are in private foster homes in the Clarksville area.
