Meet Dahlia 🌸 — Long-Legged Supermodel Seeking Personal Staff
It’s hard to believe looking at Dahlia now that this gorgeous girl once had such a rough start. She arrived at Texas CARES from an overcrowded rural shelter with two tiny babies in tow — frail, dirty, desperate, and weighing just six pounds.
But Dahlia had babies to raise, and giving up simply wasn’t on her agenda. This girl is a fighter. She blossomed, her babies thrived and found their forever homes, and now "Queen D" is officially retired from motherhood and accepting applications for her own personal staff. Oops. We mean family.
Dahlia is wonderfully youthful (estimated at just over a year old), affectionate, and people-oriented. She’ll happily curl up in your lap, invite belly rubs, and press her head firmly into your palm — universal cat language for “Please continue. I’ll tell you when we’re done.”
She’s also an accomplished baker, famous for her “fury biscuits,” kneading her blankets with the focus of a pastry chef on a deadline. When the zoomies strike, she throws herself wholeheartedly into playtime — her foster family recently discovered that Dahlia is inexplicably obsessed with Paw Patrol.
Between adventures, she loves quiet moments watching birds and squirrels outside the window and simply being near her person.
Dahlia can tolerate other cats, but their company seems to cause her some stress. Given the choice, she would much rather devote herself to her beloved human servant. Her dream home is one where she can finally be someone’s baby — adored, doted upon, and given all the love she spent so much of her young life giving to her own babies.
Dahlia is litter box trained, spayed, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, and combo tested (negative for FeLV/FIV).
If you’re looking for a gentle, grateful, gorgeous and delightfully quirky little companion, Dahlia is ready and waiting - so please inquire or submit and adoption application today! 💕
