Story
Faster than a speeding bullet, this super-cat loves doing zoomies! Liam is a smidge aloof when first meeting him and he may fly away to his safety perch. But given the time and patience that he needs, he'll let down his guard and become the lovable kitty that is hidden within. Liam's favorite past time is playing with his cat pals, chasing catnip toys and bird watching. Liam is eagerly awaiting a home of his own. Could that be with you? Contact OHAR to learn more about this handsome fella and how to meet him in person!History: Liam, his mom and littermates were all dumped a rural shelter in East Texas, known for its high euthanasia rates and limited public access. A plea was issued by the volunteers to spare this little family's life, so we agreed to bring them into our kennel cat room.Adoption Process: After your application is approved, a home visit is schedule. We will bring the pet to you and help with introductions to your current pet(s). You will then have a week with the pet to ensure they are the right fit for your home. At the end of the week, you finalize the adoption and the pet is officially part of your family! Learn more at ohar.org/adoptionprocess

Story
This shiny house panther loves to play with wand toys, laser pointers, and ping pong balls. But Apple's favorite pass time is sitting in a window watching birds and squirrels. Apple is an inquisitive girl, and she'd love to spend time together while you play a video game, do a puzzle, watch TV, or read a book. Before long, she'll be sleeping next to you on the bed and following you around the house! Apple is looking for a someone who has a quiet household and enjoys a challenge of working patiently to earn her trust. Hint: Soft kitty talk and a few treats are a way to her heart. You'll be deeply rewarded when she finally comes up on your lap! This sleek and gorgeous gal has lived with cats in the past and would do well with another feline companion. She's ready to get out of the shelter and into your home! Are you the special person she's been waiting for?Contact OHAR to schedule your personal meet and greet!History: Brought into Dallas Animal Services as a stray in September of 2021, Apple had a broken left front leg and remained at DAS until we rescued her in November. During that time, her leg was splinted, she was spayed, vaccinated and combo tested. Medical records show that she has made a full recovery and her previous bum leg has not impacted her health or ability to run and jump.Adoption Process: After your application is approved, a home visit is schedule. We will bring the pet to you and help with introductions to your current pet(s). You will then have a week with the pet to ensure they are the right fit for your home. Story
If social distancing is your thing, then I'm your man! I enjoy the company of other cats and will casually seek you out for pets. But I'm not one for all that touchy feely stuff that these kids need today. I don't need a participation trophy or a "that a boy". Give me a warm bed, a nice window to bird watch from and I'm a happy man. Don't get me wrong, I'm not that easy.... You'll have to buy me a few dinners before I'll crawl into your lap.I'm not one for blind dates so contact OHAR to learn how to meet me!History: Ben, his mom and his siblings were surrendered to a city shelter and were facing euthanasia due to overcrowding. The staff lobbied for their rescue so we stepped up for the little family.Adoption Process: After your application is approved, a home visit is schedule. We will bring the pet to you and help with introductions to your current pet(s). You will then have a week with the pet to ensure they are the right fit for your home.
