Story
Meet **Ozzy**! 🐾
Ozzy is a **6-month-old Havanese or Havanese mix** weighing about **20 lbs**, and he is one seriously cute little guy.
Ozzy is a bit more **bashful with people he doesn't know**, but once he feels comfortable, he absolutely loves affection. And those puppy eyes? He knows exactly how to use them. 😂
Ozzy is still learning, so his forever family needs to be ready to **keep the momentum going with his training**. He needs structure, routine, consistency, and someone who will follow through. House training and crate training are going to depend heavily on the routine and structure his family provides.
He also needs continued work on **basic obedience**. Like any puppy, Ozzy will chew on things, and being a small dog means he can get himself into places and reach things you might not expect. He loves **toys and bones**, so his family will need to provide appropriate outlets and continue teaching him good choices.
Ozzy is wonderful with **other dogs and cats**. He is required to have **at least one other dog already in the home**, and a playful canine companion could be a great fit for him.
He thrives in a **calmer environment**. Lots of unfamiliar people coming and going can be too much for him, so we're looking for a home where he can settle in, build confidence, and have a predictable routine.
Ozzy is scared of little kids, so we're looking for a home with **children 10+ who understand how to respectfully interact with dogs**.
A **secure fenced yard is required**. Ozzy is not suited for apartment living because he does not currently potty on leash.
And that gorgeous Havanese-type coat means his new family needs to understand that **regular grooming and ongoing coat care are a must**. This is not a wash-and-go coat!
Ozzy is sweet, affectionate, playful, and just a little more reserved until he knows you. Give him the right environment, some patience, and continued training, and we think this little guy is going to blossom.

All of our animals are fully vetted, which includes spay/neuter, up-to-date vaccines, deworming, heartworm testing and treatment if necessary, current flea/tick/heartworm prevention, and microchipping prior to adoption.
