We got Baxter from another pet adoption site, he is 4. Baxter needs to be in a home with an adult, he will sometimes play rough and nip because he was not socialized at an early age and has not been around younger children. He needs to be socialized so that he can be around other animals also. He can be grumpy about his food and is territorial about it. As a Havanese dog, he needs a lot of attention and tends to be less afraid of women than men. He likes to be outdoors and loves fetching balls, HE GETS THE ZOOMIES!!! Once that he trusts a person he is loyal and loving to that individual. He is very well potty trained, and he will let you know when he needs to go, never has had any accidents. With the right socialization.

Dixie Lynn is a 1-year-old Havapoo with a soft, quiet spirit and so much love to give. She may be shy at first, but once she feels safe, she’s incredibly sweet, cuddly, and loyal. She loves curling up next to you on the couch or snuggling in bed at night - but she’s also comfortable sleeping in her kennel when needed. Dixie Lynn absolutely lights up around other dogs and needs a calm, confident dog in the home to help her feel secure. She bonds quickly with women and is slowly but surely learning to trust men, too. Her progress has been wonderful to see. She’s doing well with potty training and stays on track when supervised or kenneled. Dixie Lynn would do best in a quiet, stable home without young kids, where she can continue building confidence at her own pace. If you’re patient, gentle, and have another dog in the home, Dixie Lynn could be the perfect addition to your family. She’s a special dog who just needs the right match to thrive.   If interested, please  complete the  Adoption Application  on our website at  www.NeedyPaws.org  and we will contact you.  Adopters must live within an hour’s drive of St. Louis, MO. Our $295 adoption fee includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay/neuter and microchip. We are a 100% foster-based rescue and all of our dogs live in approved foster homes. We are dedicated to finding the best Forever Homes, and will perform home visits and conduct veterinarian and reference checks for each potential adopter. Story
Toby is a black & white hypoallergenic Havanese, recently vaccinated. We have kids, he loves to be a part of the pack but has also bonded well with me & enjoys lap time alone during the day. We have 2 cats he occasionally chases but backs off when he gets close knowing they have the upper hand. He loves lots of attention as well as learning and rehearsing tricks. Toby is house trained so long as he gets regular walks/outdoor time. We were once a home schooled family but I became disabled and cannot spend as much time do to that plus my wife has gone to work and kids are now in school away from home most of the day. With that plus some financial difficulties we believe he would be happier and better taken care of in another home. Just to warn you, we had a flea problem recently that is now taken care of but we groomed his hair shorter than the picture shows. Fortunately, it grows back quickly.
