Meet Betsy Lou, a 5-year-old, 26-pound Havanese–scruffy terrier blend with a tender heart and a personality that’s still unpacking its suitcase. 💕 Betsy Lou arrived very scared, but even then, she was gentle and quietly hoping people could be trusted. After just one week, little smiles began appearing as she realized she was safe. She’s taking applications for her inner circle—her screening process involves patience, kindness, and absolutely no rushing the lady! This sweet, submissive girl needs time to feel comfortable with new people. With patience and love, we can’t wait to watch her true terrier self bloom. Somewhere beneath that cautious exterior may be a tiny household supervisor preparing to share her opinions! Havanese are known for being affectionate, intelligent, playful companions who form close bonds with their people. Betsy Lou is still finding her confidence, but she’s already showing us her sweetness. Her scruffy coat will need regular grooming to keep her comfortable and looking fabulous—every Southern lady deserves a salon day! 💜 Betsy Lou is a Charming Pet Rescue Ambassador Dog! Her higher adoption fee helps support other rescue dogs with greater medical needs, whose treatment costs exceed their adoption fees. Welcome Annabelle to CCPAL Rescue. She is a 20-pound sweet Dachshund/Havanese is our best guess. She has a curly coat and curly hair on her tail. She is about 5 months old. She is very sweet. She was found on the streets. She doesn’t jump up, is good with other dogs, good in a kennel, very non reactive around lots of dogs and a busy shelter. She is a very mellow and lower energy dog. She is what we call “perfect” temperament in Rescue. Since she is relatively quiet, she would be fine in a condo, apartment or shared wall situation. She is sturdy and would make a great walking companion. She won’t need lots of walks or exercise to be happy. She is getting spayed soon and is topping up and getting her vaccinations. She could go to a moderately to lower active family. She would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older. She is in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is $400 and transport is $200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states.
