Meet Kewpie: Your Cozy, Committed Companion
Kewpie is a 12-year-old bundle of wisdom, weighing in at 24 lbs, who has truly mastered the art of living well. She’s the kind of dog who reminds you that the best things in life are quiet, slow, and shared with someone you love. Her favorite things include sunny naps, soft pets from humans of all ages, and following you gently from room to room just to be near you.
Kewpie thrives in a low-key household where relaxation is the vibe. She’s always happy to see you, and if you're hanging out in the yard, she'll happily lounge by your side. She enjoys short, leisurely strolls and is content to sniff and explore at her own pace—barely paying any attention to passing dogs.
Though we didn’t try a crate (because she reportedly cries in them), she’s been a sweet and easy guest in foster care—even in the middle of a “crazy house” with kids and the usual chaos. She’s unbothered by noise and movement and just keeps doing her gentle dog thing.
Now she’s looking for a forever home where she can share her expert snuggling skills, her gentle presence, and her appreciation for the little things in life.
Ready to live slow and love big? Kewpie’s your girl.
Kewpie was diagnosed with a vestibular disorder, balance disorder causing her to be a bit wobbly on her feet. She still has plenty of quality life to live with her forever people.
The adoption fee for Kewpie is $300. This donation helps to cover veterinary expenses including spay/neuter, microchip and vaccinations. Wish Upon a Rescue is a 501(c)3 non-profit, foster based animal rescue. If you would like to meet Kewpie please complete our adoption questionnaire at www.wishuponarescue.org/adopt. We will review your responses and be in contact to schedule a meet and greet at a time and place convenient for your family and our team member.
